So-Cal & Vegas Baby! part 3
at 6:30am we are wating outside the tour guide office for our pick up for the Yosemite National Park tour, the bus was empty with only 2 other couples and family of 3 on, this was also the actual day of my 40th so the wife and kids put banners around my seat and I had a huge badge to wear all day!
the first 3 hours are pretty boring then you start climbing and pass through a very windy pass and then your into Yosemite..this pass made my DD motion sick on the way back ! photos do not give Yosetime any justice or scale~: we also got to see a wild bear but it was gone before we had chance to get a picture. we got back to San Francisco about 8pm and got some cracking sunset pics: When we got back to the Hotel we decided to let our 8yr old DS chose where we would eat on my birthday...bracing ourselves for another night at the Rainforest we was midly suprised when he announced Hooters! (good lad ) DW let it known to our server that it was my birthday and I was soon standing on my chair dancing with the Hooter girls! ... I also got the obgilitary T-shirt! we retired back to the hotel afterward to commence packing as we was checking out tomorrow and heading to LA... |

Brillant birthday. This is sounding more and more like the trip we did in 2005, but we went to Yosemite for the day by train. We liked Yosemite so much we went back May 2008 for more of an explore!

Can't wait to see Yosemite, but we're actually spending a night at The Lodge By The Falls so we're looking forward to exploring. Not sure if there are any guided walks etc, so this is something that we need to look into yet. Great photos by the way.
