West coast trip 2009 - Part 16 - Disneyland

We walk over to DL stopping of at Mc D's for a quick breakfast and get to the park by 9:00. Its only about 10 min walk so saves on the $12 parking fee.
I quite enjoy this park, the castle is a little smaller than those in Paris/Orlando but it easy no navigate and compact.
We go on the main rides but it gets busy in the afternoon, fast passes not until 7PM.
Got soaked on Jurassic park, DD is too small so have to child swap.
Indiana Jones was good as was POTC, the strange part with this ride is that it just looks like a house when you enter, I guess it was remade from another ride and they left the frontage alone.
Buzz was as good as ever, this is DD favourite ride.

Watch the Toystory parade, which was really good, lots of interaction, DD went up to dance at one point when the kids were invited to join, then at another part they were given drums to bang on.

We leave the park around 7PM having not done all of the zones, we will be back in a few days to do the rest.

Dinner is taken at the ESPN in DTD, queues for The Rainforest cafe were 1.25 hrs, even at ESPN we had to wait 40 mins.
Had a 9oz sirloin, chicken sandwich, kids meal, 2 beers, $48

Back to the room to try to get some sleep.

Another fab day, can't wait for to visit Disneyland for my Disney fix! Nice to hear there's an ESPN restaurant at DTD, didnt realise there was. We've been to the Boardwalk one a couple of times and we love it there.
