BLT Photos - 2 bed dedicated. MK View. Floor 9
We were located next to the Northern elevator, which meant we also had a view of the lake. Those allocated **14 and **12 rooms also had a good MK view even though these are technically LV rooms.
We were in 7916 (the numbering was a bit weird as it often bore no resemblance to the floor you were on). Also, first floor is the ground floor in the U.S. The hallways were lovely, very plush and quiet. The elevator waiting areas had a seating area and this seems like a great place to catch the fireworks on a rainy evening if you didn't want to go to the lounge and didn't have MK view. The other side of the corridors had lovely views of the BLT pool and across Bay Lake. Living room taken from the balcony, showing breakfasr bar seating area and kitchen. More to follow in next post...

Living room showing double sleeper sofa and single sleeper chair. Both of these were 'made up' with linens already. We tried them out and they seemed comfy.
Dining area and plasma t.v. in the lounge There were 3 bathrooms, the first as you entered the living room on your right. The view from the lounge window. To the immediate right of the window was a door that let you access the balcony attached to the master bedroom. The balcony for the other bedroom could only be accessed via that bedroom. The 'downside' of Mk view was that you overlooked the car park but you also overlooked the monorail and ferry docking station. Each morning you could watch the MK coming to life. Early morning and after dark were great times to be sat on the balcony. Space Mountain from the master bedroom balcony. |

The 'two double' bedroom.
The bathroom in the 'two double' bedroom. There was a separate vanity area and then a loo and shower. The doors to all the bathroom were sliders, with no locks. View from second bedroom. For those with small children you might want to note that the raillings enable you to 'step up' onto them so I would supervise younger children at all times on the balcony. The 'lake view' from the room - you could see the MK ferries being 'put to bed' each night here. |

The washer and dryer. These are in a cupboard as you come into the room, on the left. They were quite quiet. The dishwasher in the kitchen was great - very quiet. You could use the appliances without disturbing anyone too much.
The main bedroom, taken from the window and showing the bathroom, with a jacuzzi bath, leading through to the loo and large shower. If you sat in the jacuzzi bath the plasma telly on the bedroom wall could be tilted to let you watch the telly in the bath. Vanity area with the bath in the corner. Sliding doors next to the bath enable you to look out - straight to MK. Jacuzzi bath The shower in the loo in the main bedroom. Had a 'rainforest' head as well as traditional power shower.

This is the 'north side', served by the northern elevator.
This is the view of The Contemporary from our room. View of the Grand Floridian from the room taken early morning. The Contemporary from the BLT car park. View of MK from our room - the crane went in place on the 20/08 to put up lights on the castle for later in the year. It was removed each night for the fireworks. |

We are staying in a one bedroom in 24 days time yippee !
Quick question do you think we will fit a full size crib in the bed room ? DS 17 is sleeping in the lounge area so need to have DS 2 in our area hance the bedroom. |

It shouldn't be a problem. The 'pack n' play' was stored in the main bedroom closet (which is just behind the bedroom door). My only complaint would be the closet storage but only because the in-room safe took up quite a bit of space in the main bedroom closet and the baby chair and luggage rack was stored in the other.
We had our case lying around on the main bedroom floor and there was definitely enough room to get round it. In the main bedroom there is also an area on the unit attrached to the walll to place a closed suitcase upon. |
