California & Vegas Sep 09 Day 12

We wasn't up till just before 11am today (I know, i know you are probably all giving me daggers through your screens now ) still not feeling great and coughing more than usual i decided it was time to dig the antiboitics out of the medication bag and start those hoping they'd kick in quick enough that I wouldn't start feeling loads worse for the last few days of our trip. We were ready and off to the Zoo by 12.15 or so.

We got the tram one stop to the American plaza and walked to the bus stop close by to pick up the number 7 bus which took us straight to the Zoo.
We arrived at the Zoo just before 1pm and grabbed something to eat before decide what to see first, it was huge and slowely made our way around (i can't remember our exact route so i'll just be posting photos mainly)

We had made our way to the top of the Zoo by now and decided to get the sky tram back down so we could get on the Zoo bus

The views were great, but if you have a bit of a problem with heights like i do its a scary few minutes till you are back down on the ground again.
We then went to get on the bus meaning to get on the one you can hop on/hop off but i acciedently took us to the stop for the express bus that does the loop without being able to get off before it's back to where you got on.

The bus was soon back and we were getting off and had about an hour till the Zoo was closing so quickly decided what we wanted to make sure we see before we had to go

It was now 6pm and closing so we made our way back to the bus stop and were back at the hotel by about 6.45. With a quick freshen up and change of clothes we made our way out for some dinner, i fancied Hard Rock cafe so we made our way there unfortunately once we were there noticed it was pretty busy but hoped the wait wouldn't be too long, unfortunately the lady said at least 45 minutes and Darren was pretty hungry so didn't want to wait. We had walked past an Indian on the way so decided to go there, we orded what we normally would at home popadoms, chicken korma, pilau rice & naan bread unfortunately the popadoms were awful and nothing like at home and the korma wasn't nothing like a korma we had tried before but never mind as it was still nice. Food eaten and $50 bill paid we left and walked back to the hotel about 9pm. We was going to go down tot he hot tub for a bit but we got down there and it was busy so just went back up tot he room to relax infront of the tv before falling asleep.

You did get up late today ... but I'll forgive you because you're feeling poorly and you still managed to do loads Hope you're feeling better soon...

Zoo looks amazing. We never got to San Diego on our trip but hope to do it some time.
