Sorry - this should be 7

Last full day dawned and it was another sea day. As we were heading back into LA the weather was definitely getting cooler and much windier. As much as I hate last days, this one was going to be a bit special as we had been invited to the Bridge for a tour.

The week before we sailed, the concierge had emailed me asking if there was anything he could do for us in preparation for our vacation, and I had mentioned we would love to do this.

Now I know it doesn’t often happen, and it is usually only offered to those who are have sailed loads, but as we were in a suite I thought it wouldn’t do any harm to ask – and we got in! There were only about 20 of us and although Captain Johnny wasn’t around we were given a very comprehensive tour from a couple of officers.

It was very serene and calm in there, and it was very interesting reading what was written in the logs etc. There was a little area with microwave etc, and even a sombrero hanging up – must have had a party the night before!

We then had lunch again with our friends, before retiring for the afternoon to pack – argh! It took bloomin’ ages as we had so much stuff, and as the suite was so large everything was spread out………..

Eventually we were finished and headed out for our last meal – boo hoo. This is always such a sad evening as you have to say goodbye to all the friends you have met over the past week. I ended up running round the dining room giving out and collecting contact details.

The waiters all line up on the stairs and say goodbye which is always nice.

We then all met up to watch Karaoke after dinner, before retiring for a sort of early night (we had to be at immigration for 6.30 in the morning).
