*** The Toys Are Back In Town - Day 22 ***

Day 22 18h July Shopping – IOA

No pics today as I left the camera bag back at the Blue Heron

This morning mission was to check out of the RPR though technically we only stayed one night so we leave the Blue Heron and arrive at the RPR around 8.40am.

After checking out of the RPR we walk over to IOA, Skye and & I head for Suess Landing whilst Julie, Kimberley & Kiera head to the Forbidden Journey ride.


After a Cat in a Hat overdose the others reappear having given up on FJ as the wait time was 90min + and Hogsmeade was heaving.

So we ride the Seuss Landing rides once again before walking over to the Hulk. The Hulk was busy even in the FOTL line with around a 20min wait.

After the Hulk we rode Spiderman which was also heaving.

We decide to bail early and head to the Prime Outlets once again for another shopping spree.

At 2pm we head back to the Blue Heron and go swimming once more in the pool which seems to be one of the most visited places this trip.

With the time nearing 5.20pm we leave the hotel and drive down to the 192 and visit Applebee’s where we get seated right away just before a mass of people turned up.

We had a lovely 3 course meal and it only cost $80 before the tip which was a pleasant surprise considering what we ate.

After Applebee’s we continued our shopping spree at the nearby Super Target and Wal-Mart

On entering Wal-Mart I’ve never seen this place so busy, no trolleys available and quite a few buses outside could only mean one thing “Tour Groups”.

Wow there was hundreds of them tearing about the place though there were hundreds of other tourists around too.

We eventually get back to the Blue Heron at around 9pm and settle down and watch illuminations from the balcony enjoying a glass or 2

Mmmmm shopping and Applebees - my kinda day Steve!

We went to the Applebees on the 192 in March, had tried the one in Berry Town Centre in 2008 and loved it!

The pool seems to have been a refuge from the heat and long days.
