Eating our way around florida- Day 7

Day 7 - 18th June 2010


“Junior” - 18 just finished AS levels, originator of this report but no staying power!


Mum - couldn't wait to get away and doesn't want to go back.

So at this point “junior” has lost interest in the trip reports and has found more interesting things to do.

As I (Rob) am a completer finisher I feel it is my duty nay obligation to complete the report of our trip.

So armed with nothing more than a fantastic memory and the dates on the properties of the photos we took, here goes...
Breakfast was in the villa me at 5.30 re-heated pizza, the girls emerge later at staggered times having bagels and toast with ground peanut butter.


A combination of sunbathing, reading, having a dip in the pool, going back in villa to call off and copious amounts of liquid to stay hydrated pursued. Then about 12.30pm the heavens opened so it was time to get showered and changed and hit the shops!


Tonight's evening meal was at a new restaurant for us, Manny’s Chophouse. We had read a lot of very good comments so were looking forward to see if it was all true.
We were not disappointed, there was a short wait and we were given a flashing buzzing thing! That would call us when they had a table for us, so we sat outside with a drink and wiled away the 4 and a half minute wait. Whisked into a table, introduced to our server (who wrote her name in crayon on the tablecloth) provided with bread...



Drinks order taken then a few minutes later our food order taken. 30 seconds later a large stainless steel bowl arrives with salad neatly arranged in quadrants. Responding to the positive when asked if we wanted it mixing we were left with a massive bowl of fresh crisp salad.



So our en-trees were Rob-14 ounce sirloin steak, Mum-12 ounce New York Strip and “Junior”-12 ounce sirloin steak






We couldn't finish everything but had a good go! It was all excellent and we were very happy. We decided we would return later in the holiday.
