I have been rebooked a day earlier (!), was flying Sunday-Sunday but now Saturday-Saturday as there is now no upper class on my previously booked flights (Sundays) in December.

I've been told the flight cancellations/mergers have been completed as at today, would I take a bet on it ... no!

Not a happy bunny as my 'Be Our Guest' reservation was for my previous last night, Saturday 8th December. I will now be sat on a plane instead of being sat in the new restaurant in Magic Kingdom.

The winter schedule from LGW & MAN has been changed. It is not related to mergers and cancellations it's just a time change.

If you do a search you will see a few threads on the subject over the last couple of months.

Hi, this is my 1st post booked with Virgin Holidays flying out on 9th March 2013 just gone on to Manage my bookings and noticed the flights been altered froms the VS075 leaving at 11.15 which had already been altered from 10.25 to VS073 leaving at 12.35 anyone tell me why this as happened, is the VS075 likely to be reinstated for that day. Any ideals would be appreciated. Thank you

Virgin went through a raft of mergers earlier this week, which seems to have affected flights in Nov, Dec and Feb from reports.

From what I can see it looks as though the VS75 has been cancelled and the flights merged onto the VS73 at 12.35.
This means you are scheduled to fly on a refurbed 747 rather than the A333.

Other than that there is no major impact, I wouldn't expect the flight to be reinstated.

Jakey have they done this the other way round too? eg my vs075 on the 2nd of December was A333 now showing as 747 but the time has not changed from 1130 so have they merged the later onto the earlier in this instance?

I'm not sure you have been merged but just a change of plane which can happen from time to time.

However they have in some cases merged and changed from a 747 to an A333, not great if you were planning on UC.

however I have managed to book the Virgin extra leg room seats even though my booking is with Jetsave RESULT !

The Guidebook page has now been updated to account for the recent mergers/cancellations up until the end of May from LGW. Information for MAN and GLA should be available very soon.
