Our 1st DVC Stay - LIVE - March 2011 - Day 8

Another lazy late start this morning (not helped by the hour 'springing forward' overnight) saw us not leaving SSR until about 11.30 am and we headed to DTD for some lunch. We ate at Pollo Campero/Fresh-a-Peel which was really nice - DH had a Skirt Steak Salad Wrap and I had chicken tenders with a side of some spicy beans and rice. We both had donuts for dessert Cinnamon Sugar for DH and Vanilla Crunch for me. Another recommended place to eat!

As I mentioned yesterday the plan today was shopping and so we headed of to Premium Outlets which I really like. I won't go into much more detail but I managed to buy:
Perfume, Underwear, an Elizabeth Arden gift set for a friends birthday and a little cosmetic purse from Coach! What? This might be the only chance I get! Oh yeah, and DH got some socks!

We headed off to the Grand Floridian for our final ADR of the trip at Citrico's which is a 2 table service credit meal. I am proud that I managed to take pictures of all three courses as well as the drinks:

The Mojito is DH's and the sparkling Rose Regale is mine...

DH had the Gateau of Crab followed by Berkshire Pork Two Ways and the extremely posh looking dessert of Chcocolate Banana Torte:

I opted for the Veal Shank followed by Fresh Berries Gratin with a Grand Marnier Sauce:

All of the meal was really good and is definately another recommendation!

By the time we left it was just staring to go dark and it was 7.30pm! Tonight was to be Main Street Electrical parade which was on twice and the fireworks at MK. We got the monorail to MK and got into the park and OMG it was busy! It was just 8pm, the parade was at 9pm and Main Street was already packed (although Louisiana have gone home the other 49 states appear to have arridev! ) with people waiting for the parade to start. We decided to cut through the Castle and to the other side of the park to see if it was any less busy but after fighting up Main Street it became apparent it wasn't (I have never seen it this busy before even when we've been at Easter) so just 30 minutes after getting in we were leaving via the resort boat back to the GF to collect the car. We sat in the lobby of the GF for a little while soaking up the atmosphere and seeing how the other half lives!

The pianist in the lobby:

The house band on the 1st floor overlooking the lobby:

When we got back to SSR there was no where to park near our building - maybe this is an indication of how busy it is!

For whoever was asking about resort mugs, these are ours:

and these are the ones that went on sale just a few hours after we arrived :
