Yes we're going to Vegas with the KIDS again Day 9

DD...13 Loves Shopping, not keen on racing, 90% lovely 10% hormonal Teenage
DD...9 Love NASCAR , 9 going on 19 , not a fan of shopping unless its for him.

Weather was back to its best this morning :-)

Up and showered reasonably early as we had plans for this morning.. kids wanted Dennys for breakfast and seeing as we had loads of 20% off vouchers i was happy to oblige.. As we were taking the car out we choose the one at the Tahiti Village.. Breakfast was good as always



We then had a wander around the Tahiti village, its somewhere where we would like to stay possibly next yr, the kids loved the pool area and lazy village and it even has a little beach area . Initally i had reservations about it not being on the actual strip but given we have a car i dont see thats a problem. We shall see for next yr ;-)

Then it was down to South Coast Casino again..Every year all the NASCAR haulers park up there before being allowed down to the track and on the Thursday (today) the public are allowed in to wander round take pics etc.. Some are opened up so you can see the cars thats to be raced at the weekend... Kids were happy to wander around snapping pics, being careful not to get in the way. Barry is a HGV driver here so he struck up a few conversations with the drivers.. i keep telling him to apply for a job

By now its getting on for midday so we leave there and head over to Sams Town. But first we visit the big WALMART opposite.. well i've never been in it before and i might need to buy something ! My husband steers me to the electrical department and is very interested in laptops and tablets which baffles me slightly as he doesnt do Tech stuff ... later in the trip is becomes clear as to why he was.

We leave there without buying too much, and head over to Sams Town, i love this place and would also like to stay here oneday. We had a good wander round and watched the Mystic falls show.. Connor is hungry yet again but settles for a ice cream with the others whilst i have a Dunkin Donut but they just arent the same as Krispy Kremes :-(
Sams Town has a huge bowling alley and the kids wanted a game so we spent an hour in there.
We then went in the shop that sells bits and pieces to find it selling NASCAR merchandise...they had obviously been over to Walmart over the road bought it all and then were selling it at double the price... So i refused to buy Barry a t-shirt mean i know ha ha..

We head back to the hotel and i take Chloe to MGM to do the CSI experiance... I had bought a Groupon voucher for it ages ago and thank goodness i did , it wasnt worth half price never mind full price... We spent about 40 mins in there.. trouble is you can hear other people saying the answers out loud so that somewhat spoils it.

We go back to the hotel to find Barry and Connor on the internet, chilling out eating all kinds of rubbish lol...

I get the kids changed and we head out about 5.45pm.. tonights the NASCAR hauler parade... basically they shut the strip off so the haulers can go down althogether towards the speedways , because its done in the dark its quite a sight.

We get a decent spot opposite Monte Carlo and the same thing happened there that happens at parade time in MK.. people turn up as it starts expecting to push to the front Not being the shy sort i politely explained that we had been stood there waiting for ages and we werent moving !
So they moved on but omg the man next to us kept repeatedly spitting on the road.. i just find it utterly disgusting !

Anyway hauler parade starts and we all enjoyed it.. Afterwards we were hungry but didnt want much so we went to Pink Hot Dogs using another Groupon voucher i had . And as fast food goes again it was pretty good.

I wanted to do some shopping so we wandered down to the Forum shops .. i like to window shop in the likes of Louis Vuitton (one day! )..I notice the Christian Audigier shop had 50% off everything so the kids got a t-shirt each and we wandered round all the shops... Connor wasnt impressed at all , he hates shopping but i knew the Cheesecake factory was in here so thats where i was heading

Finally we get there and oohh so much choice... i'm not really supposed to eat stuff like that.. i have to take a lot of pills daily to stop food going straight through me (sorry ) but i was desperate for a slice.. I choose Key Lime but decided to eat it back at the hotel.

Kids were happy to sit for ages at the aquarium near there just watching the fish.. but i decided it was time to go... we walk back through Caesars and come across the Pussy Cat Doll bar fortunatly no-one was dancing so i assumed it was closed down (more on that another day ha ha).. Connor decides he jsut cant walk anymore !

So we get a taxi... we had the most miserable driver ever he never spoke a word ! Anyway from Caesars to the Tropicana cost $9 and given the heavy traffic i didnt think that was bad. (and cheaper than the 4 of us using the monorail). Back in the room Connors asleep in minutes... Chloe and i share the cheesecake which doesnt make me ill and by now its around 11pm so bed time..

Lazy boy lol.. and he would have gone to sleep there had i let him..

I have hundreds more pics of those trucks if you / your husband has fb? Oddly enough tho Barry is a HGV driver and normally he isnt into trucks he wouldnt ever go to truck fest but he's happy to stand and watch those..

Do you know i cant remember... Schwarz was open when we went in 2006 or was it 2004 (i'm sure its 06 tho) because i have a picture of the kids playing on the big piano and Chloe buying a doll from the "nursery" in there but i couldnt tell you exactly where it was... i loved that shop though.
