No more stress PLEASE!

Hello,

Is the week before the wedding supposed to be this stressful?

There is still SOOO much to do along with the list of things to do before saturday my parents are stuck in crete as my father was ill on holidays last friday and awaiting doctor to sign him off safe to fly, really cant think of them missing the wedding :-(

The weather looks terrible for our wedding on saturday and really just need a bit of luck to get it all together for saturday...

maybe the more peopel who know about it will help.. strange thinking but its helping me :-\

Thinking of you at this time and sending pixie dust to get Dad home! I think that weddings are definitely sent to test us.
My personal favorite from ours was the next door neighbour of our Nan's who we had been guilt tripped into inviting and then she immediately declined the invite as it was too far to travel. As I was picking my dress up the day before wedding (this was after being pulled over by the police for using my mobile phone whilst driving, me then crying because I was going on honeymoon and couldn't present my documents, made the poor policeman panic into just giving me points and on the spot fine!) I had a phone call to say that Cynthia had changed her mind and didn't want to feel left out so would now be coming to wedding. Could I make sure I had a place for her and meal!
As soon as the ceremony was over all my new DH's family did was fuss over where Cynthia was sitting etc. You've got to love a wedding!

Weddings are defo sent to test us!

Please don't panic, the things we tend to worry about are the things that we can't change! like the weather, we decided to get married in November so we didnt have to worry about the weather and just expected it to rain, it ended up sunny the whole day!

The run up to mine, the dress maker told me they could not do my dress any more and i had to find another one and me and dh were not on best terms with his mother.

Have a lovely day and if you dont let anything spoil it, it wont!

Firstly I want to say if you are getting married this Saturday I really hope all goes well for you.

This Saturday 23/6/2012 my DH and myself will have been married for 22yrs (wedding was in 1990), my wedding day is a complete haze as the week before was so stressful and if I am totally honest the night before my wedding I could have run away as it was getting all just too much. I remember the week before vividly but the wedding day I cannot really remember, everything went like clockwork in the end but is was more stressful than moving house. My advice to you now would be to calm own, relax so that you can enjoy your wedding day and take everything in.

DW here, ah sweetheart, firstly hopefully your Dad will be fit and on the plane before you know it, pixie dust in bucket fulls hun.
Wedding, if those around you are willing/able: share, share and share, get people helping you, delegate, that's why it's a wedding party! It will make them feel more involved with the day as well as take the pressure of yourself. On the day take a big breath, have a glass (or 2!) of bucks fiz and make sure you and your Groom have time together, not just at the alter or on the photos, enjoy yourselves. The weather your way looks like it will be cloudy but dry! You gotta love dry!
Saying all this my hubby and me went and got married in Orlando, just us 2, McDonalds for Breaky, Got married at a lovely chapel, lunch at la petite house of crepe (aka little house of pancakes!) back in those days (17 years ago,) we did a package with LunPoly, oh if only we had the lovley Dibb back then!

Hi,

It is a very stressful time the week before a wedding, there is just so much to organise and remember. The day before my wedding i felt awful, had arranged a meal and drinks with my bridesmaids for the evening but had sore throat and was shivering, really thought I was coming down with something so they ended up tucking me up in bed at about 8 0' clock! Woke up the next day feeling fine and realised I had just been so overtired and stressed it had made me feel like that!
Anyway the wedding went perfectly and we had a lovely day
