Hi,
We are going on the Fantasy in Nov. doing the western itinerary

.
Just wanted to ask if we need to have any vaccines for any of the ports.

None as far as I know, this is our 2nd Western and didn't need any first time.

What date are you sailing ?We are going on 10th November after a week at BWV

Yes, we are on the same cruise

Thank you CallyMum, I know that you are only at port for a few hours but we want to visit some of the Mayan sites in Costa Maya and I was wondering if we needed any.

At Costa Maya you need, tropicial strength bug spray for visitng the ruins, they were selling it on ship $8.99 and tour guide on the coach also said you must have it, we saw quite a few bugs land on people, I assume they didnt have spray.

No other ports required anything.

We cruised there a few years back. Vacinations were recommended as precautionary, by our medical practice for Mexico (sorry don't remember which ones)... we decided to have them as it was free on the NHS (not sure if they still are ?) and we anticipated that in time such non urgent and purely optional services may well become 'pay for' types of service... and being a famiy that likes to travel we felt it was likely to come in handy again... though you may have to remember to go back for some booster jabs after your trip, depending how far in advance you get them done.

If you are going to the mailand I'd say better safe than sorry !
