Best place for kids meals?

Im taking a school trip to DLP in a few weeks. We have one day in the Disneyland Park.
The kids get a packed lunch but quite often they want to buy a meal. Last year we went to Hakuna matata. The meal was ok but it was chaos trying to get 10 kids through the queue.

Any other suggestions?

Cafe Hyperion would be suitably cavernous for a school group...the food on the other hand is a bit, well, 'meh'.

The queue area inside En Coulisse in the Studios is huge too, and the one in Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost is large and usually pretty quiet.

We have been there (Cafe Hyperion) in previous years. Merely because I was happy to let them eat their packed lunch at the back of such a huge place, without feeling like we are taking tables from paying guests.

I was wondering about the pizza place in fantasyland. (Belle Notte) We tried to go to colonial hathi last year but it was closed. The kids were all keen on pizza though. ( the trip is at the end of a week of repetitive food so they are fed up of their packed lunch by Thursday).

How big is Belle Notte? Is it usually open all year round?
I think that might be a good option.

Bella Notte has lots of little tucked-away corners to sit in, but the queue area isn't big. It wasn't open in June at all when we were there midweek, and I miss it, because I like the restaurant .

It's frustrating that do many places are closed midweek. We are doing a Thursday in October and it would be very useful to know what will be open. The other staff don't know Disney at all so look to me for advice.

Belle Notte was closed for refurb in June I think!

We usually eat in the chalet au marionette just between fantasyland and adventure land, it has lots of seats inside and out and the food is ok.

I have always found cafe Hyperion to be REALLY slow!

It's frustrating for me as I know the MK (WDW) restaurants so well and would know exactly where to go.
Will look at chalet au marionette

CHalet au Marionette is pretty big from what I remember- similar queues to Hyperion, but one big space for seating. It's in Fantasyland.

I took a look at that but the kids menu isn't do good (chicken burger or hot dog).

I think we will hope for colonel hathi to be open, but if it's not I'll try the bella notte. Might not tell the other chaperones then the queue shouldn't be too long for my group
