Awwww Kate, I've been looking out for a post from you! I scoured the Dibb on our return from (a rain drenched ) Turkey at the weekend but alas nothing! I thought perhaps you'd decided to stay over there

So... Welcome home, it's lovely to hear from you, but stop wasting your time on here, you've a trippy to write

Just kidding - but looking forward to it all the same

Hi Emma

Welcome home to you too but, more importantly, a huge CONGRATULATIONS! I do hope your big day went smoothly and was everything you dreamed it was and more! I shall be eagerly looking out for your trippy and was thinking of you both while we were away. Is it this weekend that you have your UK reception?

Oh I know, The Poly was a huge disappointment, especially after reading so many people's reports about how it is one of their favourites. We went for the breakfast first and maybe thought we had caught them on an 'off' day, so, after some deliberation over whether we should cancel our dinner the following week, we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, it was even worse on our second visit so we have now been sworn off The Poly for life, such a shame, although certainly not indicative to the rest of our holiday.

Wishing you both a fabulous day this upcoming weekend!

Hi Jo

Lovely to hear from you but, oh no, so sorry to hear the rain followed you to Turkey! I do hope you all managed to enjoy your time away all the same, did the bad weather maybe mean more time to enjoy the card games?!

I was indeed very tempted to stay, in fact on our last morning in MK, whilst being dragged sobbing down Main Street, I do remember making some threats about chaining myself to the Castle!

Unfortunately, I'm home and, I must admit, a little hesitant to start writing 'The Day Before', it all seems a little too painful to think back to what seems like just yesterday when we were all packed up and ready to go! How is it over so soon?

Catch up soon.

Hi Rachel

Indeed we did, and I'm so glad that I listened to you dibbers and stuck with the plan, it was fabulous and the queues were still non-existent once we'd finished our breakfast!

Hi vanlou, thank you for the welcome back. I kind of knew we'd have an amazing time too, but it's always a relief when everything works out just so, especially after six months of planning!

I shall get started with the report forthwith!

Hey! We did still have a lovely time, the hotel was fab, and we managed to dodge the rain on some days and make the most of the pool slides and fun fair

Funnily enough we did play a lot of cards, but not Blob, so not many tantrums this time round

I know exactly what you mean about thinking back. I found this month a bit of struggle with the 'this time last years', especially being at Gatwick and flying to Turkey and not Orlando! Being at the Airport and seeing people at the Virgin Twilight Check In desk was a particular low point

I've taken the first steps towards our next trip though, I picked up a holiday request form from school this morning . Incidentally we have a new Head who does not authorise any time off for holidays I want to see her to make sure the time I do book doesn't clash with anything important but I'm feeling a bit chicken about going in!
