Here is an update on the dates of two of the new arrivals into the Thomson fleet for those of you lucky enough to be flying off on the new b787's


Thomson B787 delivery:
G-OBYD
30/05/2013 TOM9906P B788 KBFI-EGCC 1525-0535

In translation, will route Boeing Field - Manchester as TOM9906P on the 31st May and arrive at MAN 0535 on 31st May.


G-TUIB
will be delivered to MAN as TOM9607P on 2nd June for acceptance and then fly up to GLA on 7th June as TOM092P at 14:30 ready for 8th June start.

I have just got back today off a thomson flight and the crew were saying that the first long haul flight on the Dreamliner will be July the 8/9 ish. But im not sure where this if flying too. Manchester is getting a delivery of one at the end of May.

First confirmed Thomson 787 flights have been confirmed and it looks like the new arrivals are getting a few shifts down to the Med.

Thomson Airways can confirm that from 21 June 2013 it will be operating the 787 Dreamliner on selected short haul and mid haul routes, before its first long haul flights on 8 July 2013.

We are delighted to welcome the Thomson 787 Dreamliner to our fleet, and are pleased that we can give some of our customers travelling to short and mid haul destinations this summer the chance to experience the benefits of this revolutionary aircraft.

The operation of a new aircraft on short haul routes before it enters long haul service is normal practice for all airlines and the Dreamliner will fly on selected routes from 21 June 2013 onwards.

I see G-TUIA 787 as at the "ready for delivery" stage.

It is due to depart Everett Airfield in around 3hrs time and expexted to touchdown in Manchester at 9.22am BST.

I do envy all those traveling in the Dreamliner. I only hope that there are not yet more delays in introduction to service. Whilst these are in no way the fault of TUI, they must have been very annoying for those who have previously booked with TUI with the Dreamliner being the deciding factor in making that booking.
Maybe next year for us, who knows!
