The Three Amigos Hit Florida - Day 1

Monday 8th October 2012 - Day 1 (Columbus Day)

at 5.15AM me and Laura woke up and had a chat but didn't get up till 6am. We got ready and left the room at 7.15am to head along for club level breakfast.

For Breakfast we had

Clare - Melon, a bagel with cream cheese and a cinnamon roll
Ben - A blueberry muffin, bagel with jam and cream cheese
Laura - Fruit loops, croissant and a bagel

We left and headed to IoA for early opening of WWOHP! Couldn't resist this photo opportunity

So we marched along to WWOHP and waited 10 mins for Forbidden Journey and 5 mins for the Duelling dragons, front seats as well. WE had a look in the shops and just took in the theming! i was very impressed

It was 9.25 and we decided it was time for a drink - butterbeer of course! Me and Laura had frozen while Ben had normal! I thought it was okay but didn't like the normal one at all.

Ww had finished at WWOHP for the morning and decided to head to Jurassic Park which was a walk on

Only a wee bit damp.We booked Mythos for 1.30 for the three of us and for Andrew and Ellen who where meeting us later. We then headed to rip saw falls and got a bit wetter

Went to the shop near spider where me and Laura treated ourselves to a new pair of ray bans. We got an extra 10% off with out AA cards, which helped. Then we waited to met the cap!

Ben bought a pretzel and me and Laura got a bucket of salt popcorn to share. We went on the hulk standby was 25, fastpass took us down to 15 mins.

We met Andrew and Ellen, who had bought fastpasses as they weren't staying onsite. We walked back to JP which was a walk on then onto duelling dragons 15 min standby, we wiated 2 mins.

We got some juice and on the way walking to mythos for lunch we discovered the drinks machine that has over 100 flavours. We tried something different called pibb which apparently used to be called mr pibb. It became a long running joke of the holiday and turned spanish with all of us calling it senor peeb!

After lunch we left IOA and went to universal studios around 2.50. We headed to despicable me which we waited 40 mins

we went on the mummy next which had a stand by wait of 30 mins but we got on in 5. Then the rain came on! This was around 3.40 and was the only rain we seen in the whole 2 weeks we were there.
We went on disaster then MIB 20 min ( 5 mins fast pass)

The rain was very light by this point and we headed back to IOA we went on the hulk which was a 5 min wait. We then headed to Forbidden Journey which said was a 20 min wait but we walked straight on, not a person in front of us. This was close to closing time.

Laura didnt go on FB as she didn't like the motion but when we all walked of she told us she couldnt find her raybans that she bought that morning. We rushed back to the hulk and they were in the locker she had used! She was very lucky to have got them back

We left to head back to HRH. This is when it poured down

Got changed and dressed and chilled in the room for a while.
He headed down to the velvet lounge in the hotel for a drink

We got the water taxi at 10pm to city walk as we were going to Bubba Gumps for tea.

Andrew had cajun shrimp to start (forgot to take a pic)
then he had Forrest’s Seafood Feast which is Southern Fried Shrimp, Seafood Hush Pups, Fish & Chips, Coleslaw and dips.
