The Three Amigos Hit Florida - Day 4

DHS, 50's prime, DTD and HOB


My notes from now on aren't as good, I haven't wrote down what we thought about the food etc! deary me Will need to improve in October

(Just worked out how to make the photos bigger! Hurrah sorry about them being smaller in the other posts)

Up and out of bed at 6.55AM we love an early start

Once we were ready we headed to the Sassagoula Floatworks for breakfast. I remember this being quite tasty, It was what it was.

I had this - Pancakes with strawberries and sausages with some ketchup and maple syrup

This is Bens Western omelette with breakfast potatoes. (whatever a western omelette is? )

Laura went for the omelette choice too and had a cheese and ham one with a milk to wash it down with.

We headed to get the bus and we waited 5 mins and we were off to DHS! And first port of call was to get FPs for TSM. We waited 10 mins to get in the park and were at TSM at 9.05. Precious FPs in hand with a return time of 10.35 - 11.35. The wait time was 15 mins so we joined the Q. We all really enjoyed this and was looking forward to riding it again later. Next on the to do list was ToT. We all love this ride and were excited to ride it. It had a 20 min so we went for it. It didn't disappoint as per.

Next was a new one for me! The Great Movie Ride. we must have went on this ride at least 5 times over the hols, it kinda started as a joke goodness knows how, i think we rode it 2 times in a row at one point! We ended up googling the script and reading it out loud in bed one night. We did find some interesting stuff about tho, a couple got married there FYI

I had read about the writer stop and the lovely cakes so we went to look for it! Its not on the map and we got very lost haha. We asked a CM where it was and she didn't even know it existed! We eventually found it and didn't buy anything, after all that

We needed food by this point so we went to the Backlot express. The three of us all had a hotdog! for dessert Laura had carrot cake muffin

This was when Andrew and Ellen joined the fun! We finished up and headed to start tours. There was a 15 min wait but we only waited 5, result. Everyone else but me went back on again (I can't remember why i didn't)

We then headed to RNR and TOT. we got more photo pass photos done, i love them!

We got a fast pass for RNR and went to ride TOT again. It was a 40 min wait but we only waited 10 mins.

We looked around in some shops then headed to 50's Prime Time Cafe for our ADR. We checked in andwaited 5 mins.

I have vague memories of eating here when i was young and was slightly disappointed with our table as it was round the back of the restaurant and didn't have much atmosphere but what can you do. Think I will return here in October and have my fingers crossed for a better table.

We all had cokes to drink and Ben had a chocolate malt to drink

Me, Ben and Laura all had moms fav platter which is fried chicken, pot roast and meatloaf with veg

Me, Ben and laura all had dessert because we were on DDP ( even tho it was the third meal of the day and was only lunch time oops) Andrew and Ellen didn't bother as they were full

Me and Laura opted to have a malt and a milkshake as that was allowed for a dessert on DDP. I had a strawberry milkshake and laura had a strawberry malt.

I Love that Disney parks all have wifi. I am sure that DHS had just got it so Laura face timed her mum and Ellen face timed her mum.

Laura got the rest of hers to takeaway and we went outside and had a seat UNTILL laura spilled her milkshake everywhere! oops

We had a bit of time before our RNR FP window opened up so guess what we went on The Great Movie Ride again, to show Andrew and Ellen obvs.

We all headed along to RNR and waited 5 mins to ride. I was looking forward to this as the last time i was in Florida in 09 never got to ride it as it was always to busy.

And here it is! Really like this ride. Not my fav in DHS, nothing can beat ToT! I just love the theming and the thrill!

We headed for ToT before we all planned to head back to POFQ and to our room. Wait time showed 20mins but we only waited 5. At the entrance to the elevators i was give the red card, i was so excited! I was hoping to be given it at some point. This is how they work out wait times (i think)

All five of us chilled once we got back to the hotel in our room. We went to see if the boat was about and it was! We headed to DTD for a browse in the shops - Laura was desperate for minnie ears that weren't sparkly but we couldn't find them ANYWHERE! - and then for some tea!

We looked around lots of shops including the lego shop and world of disney! ( We found ONE pair of non sparkly ears which Laura bought as soon as she seen them!

We were hungry by then se we decided to go to House of Blues. We didn't have an ADR for this one and we paid OOP but did use the 20% voucher you get when you book with disney.

We were seated straight away.

I must have had the ribs! I remember them being good but not amazing, they weren't covered in sauce!
