Chazy & Ben Go Back To The West Coast - Pre Travel Day - Sun 31st August

We both got up about 9am and started to do double checks of everything. We did online check in and managed to keep the bubble seats 80J & 80K! Ben's stepdad kindly drove us to the bus station about half 12 and after a quick subway lunch we were on a coach to Gatwick at just after 1:45.

There was a delay on the way to swap drivers at Leicester so I picked up some krispy kremes while I had the chance!

I was so restless until about 4pm at which Ben snapped and asked me just to sit still! At about 7pm it was Ben's turn to be irritating kindly observing that we've been on the bus 6 hours! I kindly reminded him we paid £24 not the silly amount to go by train! We finally got to Gatwick and checked in at the Hilton just after 7pm. I asked for a room with a view and I got one!

We freshened up and headed to Giraffe for dinner. I had a pina colada and thai duck stir fry, Ben had a red stripe and bbq chicken quesadillas.


Dinner came to £35 and we had a wonderful server so rounded it up to £40. We had a drink in Beehive (Wetherspoons) which was 1 raspberry red & 1 bengali tiger came to £12.


We stopped by m&s for some water and headed to the room. I painted my nails and went to bed just after midnight!

Tomorrow we find out if we experience the bubble and fly to Vegas! Eek!

Yeah it was a total nightmare but a lot cheaper than if we'd gone via train! I'd totally recommend it, delicious!

Yeah definately! I'd rather that then £100 on a train! Very restless but we've got here! Eek! We had a great view of the strip when landing. Not long for your cruise xx
