Visiting resort hotels to look at Xmas decs by car?!

Has anyone visited the resort hotels to look at their decorations? We want to do this and have a car, will each hotel let us in to park? What should we say we are doing lol? We won't be doing the disney parks but the decs at hotels are supposed to be fab! Also is there a good place to watch wishes as we might hang around to do that too, TA all

I thought you could only park at the hotels if you are a resident or if you have dining reservations. Hope I'm wrong as that sounds like a good plan!

Just tell them you've come for a look round, they'll let you park for a few hours. They want you to visit the hotels coz you might just fall in love with them and want to stay onsite sometime. The beach at the poly used to be a great spot to watch wishes, not sure what it's like at the moment with all the dvc construction going on.

The monorail resorts may be an issue as I know that the grand floridian strictly enforce the no adr, no entry to car par rule. Mind you those resorts are easily accessible by the monorail with a lot less faffing than driving to each one.
