Disneyland Paris facing investigation over Ticket Prices

Following complaints that UK customers are being charged more for ticket deals that other countries, Disneyland Paris may face an investigation over it's pricing policy.

The Financial Times newspaper reportedly said UK customers were paying 15% more for one day tickets. The newspaper reported that in some cases French shoppers were paying �1,346 (�952) for a top ticket deal, while British visitors were charged �1,870 (�1,323).

Under EU rules prices can be varied according to nationality if there are objective reasons. Disneyland Paris says that its promotions in local markets are based on booking patterns and school holidays.

It's about time this little scam was put to bed. It's not only Disney doing it. Alamo give far cheaper rates for car hire if you change your country code to France. I have never understood why you could not use a UK credit card to purchase goods from France but it was OK to buy from Amazon UK - based in Luxembourg!

However - you can use any country's version of the DLP website (and a UK card) to book. That's been the case for years, it's how they get round it.

It's just not widely known, that's the problem.

It cost less for us to buy a ticket at the gate than it was costing to buy the "discounted" tickets online before we went!
