Hotel Hopping - Anything to see or do?
Hi,
On our next Orlando trip we have 14 day Disney parks tickets. I'm sure I have read that it is possible to jump on one of the boat ferries to visit some of the hotels. Even though we're not staying at a Disney hotel are we allowed just to drop in and visit to have a nose around? Is there much to see and do (apart from eating)? Has anyone got any recommendations of where to visit? Do we just queue up for a ferry and jump on what do we have to prove that we are hotel guests? Thanks, Andy |

Anyone can visit the Disney Hotels, don't need to be a guest. You can wander about the hotels, soak up the atmosphere & visit the bars, shops, arcades or quick service restaurants, table service as well but best to have a reservation to ensure you get a table. You can't use the pools though. I know a lot of people like to use the monorail to visit the hotels on that loop close to Magic Kingdom. Personally though I'd jump on a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's an amazing resort to explore. Lots to see but what makes it unique is that you can go out to the Savanna viewing points to see the animals, cast members are usually about to answer questions etc. Don't worry, non guests are welcome to explore all the Disney resorts & no-one will even ask where you're staying. Be careful though, you may well end up desperate to stay in one of them in the future!
