Is the No.1 lounge Gatwick north worth it?
We're Sat in the premier inn right now and was just thinking about doing it tomorrow for our flight-but it's £28 each-seems quite high.
Is it worth it?

We wouldn't do it again. Not bad but not worth it

I use it most weeks for work, the food is ok and there's a good selection of drinks. (You do only get one bacon roll which I think is a bit poor)
It's also a much better environment to sit and wait in. The one in the north terminal does get busy in the mornings though (emptying around 12 once the first Florida and Caribbean flights have gone. BA still use it for business class and Silver members so we tend to fill it up... |

In a simple answer No...
Most paid for lounges are overpriced and not great value. If you get it free that's different Take the money and have a long lingering breakfast / early lunch at Frankie and bennies or your favoured equivalent |

I always book a lounge whether on my own or with family. I'm not into shopping but like to sit somewhere comfy without having to struggle to find somewhere we can sit together, have a couple of coffees and a glass of wine. If you collect avios you can book entry for £20 and get some miles or if you are a virgin member you get a discount and miles so am happy to pay plus you get fast track through security which is a big bonus when it's busy!

We get visits through our bank account but if I had to pay the £28 each not sure I would bother. We have been lucky enough to have good experiences but don't think that's always the case.
