Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon in DLP is one of my favourite restaurants. When I visited last March I ate there twice in my 4 day trip. When we went in May I was a bit disappointed as the server was really grumpy and the food wasn't quite up to the standard of last year.

I'm heading back next week (Yay!) and I was looking forward to eating there again (after all every restaurant can have an off day), however all of the reviews I have read or heard on podcasts recently have been really negative, both about the food and service.

Has anyone been recently? What did you think?

We ate there in October and were very disappointed. Like you previously we had great meals here, although admittedly we'd not eaten there for about 3 years.

We didn't enjoy the menu as much as previously, the food was ok, not very warm, a bit lacking in flavour and it all just fell a bit flat for us.

Sadly we also felt the same about Walt's which used to be a firm favourite of ours, it was just ok and with a price tag not much short of Inventions we wished we hadn't bothered.

Thank you. It's such a shame as it is a stunning restaurant.

I was thinking about trying Walt's so that is disappointing to hear also.

Getting Excited

We ate in Walt's at end of September this year - it was wonderful. We ate in Blue Lagoon last week and it was ok, but nothing like as good as Walt's. I would choose Walt's over Blue Lagoon but obviously there is a difference in price.

Our party included a vegetarian and there were nice selections for them. On top of that I love, love, love the amazing decor in the different dining rooms within Walt's. They are not to be missed so take your camera.
