Nickelodeon family suites, and Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn

Guys
A friend at work is considering booking one of these hotels but would like some feedback before doing so.
Do any of you have any experiance or Knowledge of these hotels I belive they are in the Lake Buena Vista area?

The genral condition and location of the Hotels ?

He wont be driving so how long do the shuttle busses take to get to Disney?

Are there good places to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotels?

Thanks
Deano

Staybridge Suites used to be Summerfield Suites; my friend stayed in the one on I Drive and loved it, but that was before it changed names, so I don't know if things have changed.

Cheers,
Sandra

l stayed at the HIFS suites (nickelodeon) last year and it was really nice. Great breakfast and nice rooms and staff.

You are absolutely no where near anything in walking distance except the pool lol.

We went without a car and hired one the first morning we were there. LBV is a lovely area and l would definatley go back there.
We never used the transport so can't comment but after a hard day at the parks l wouldn't want to have to wait for a bus etc.

If you need anymore info let me know

Hi Deano - nice to see an 'ol original back on the boards! WE have not stayed at the nick suites, but visited them on our last visist with a view to staying there next time. The suites and facilities were fab, but the only problem we have encountered now, is that they have changed to the nick suites, and consequently have DOUBLED their rates for next summer (well July/Aug anyway)! SO dont iknow what time of year you are looking at, but if it is for next year, I would check rates 1st!

HTH

Paula
