MickeyFan's DIBB Photo Blogs

We are at my favourite park today. I’ve always had a strong love for Hollywood Studios and the street performers.

We are off to my favourite ever ride Tower of Terror. I’ve always loved this since when I was little as I was too tiny to ride the big rollercoasters.

Glad to say my acting skills have paid off in this scared photo

Next stop rock n roller coaster.

Love the little magical things Disney do with your magic band!

I do like rock n rollercoaster but it really does throw your head around!

Break for lunch at the Backlot Express with a Strawberry Daiquiri

Onto a Galactic journey on Star Tours.

The boards for the new Star Wars land!

Headed over to see The Beauty and the Beast show. My favourite song is Kill the Beast. Love the choreography in it.

Off to queue for Toy Story Mania. There’s no fast pass for this so we have to queue for once.

Sneak peek at the new Toy Story land.

This game really kills your arm!! I’m player 2, dad is player 1.

We are now winding down with the voyage of the little mermaid.

We went back to Star Tours and got some new clips that we haven’t done before.

Dinner tonight is at Mama Melrose.

We are taking advantage of the free alcohol on the Disney dining plan. I’m having the Bellini

Love the theming of this restaurant!

I’m having the spaghetti and meatballs. Don’t think I’ll ever get used to the portion sizes.

Mum had the pork tenderloin.

Dad had the New York strip.

Magical Star cocktail that my mum had.

We headed to the Muppets to let our dinner go down.

A short stay at the Hollywood Tower Hotel before getting seats for Fantasmic!

In our seats! Excited to see this show again.

Disney sure knows how to put on a show. Now we are on our way home relatively early for a change!

We have arrived at Magic Kingdom and now it really feels like we are on holiday!!

Today I am Disney bounding as Minnie Mouse. Disney bounding is a fun thing where you dress up in modern day clothes representing a Disney character.

The weather is beautiful today. It’s warm but not uncomfortably so!

Tangled is my all time favourite Disney film so I love this little tower and break area.

First stop is Peter Pans flight with a fast pass. Don’t remember the last time we actually queued for this as the lines are always so long!

Philarmagic is one of my favourite Disney shows.

Next up a fast pass for Seven Dwarfs mine train. Love the theming of this ride.

Think I must’ve of done something wrong as nobody wanted to share a carriage with me :&rsquo

We had lunch at Columbia Harbour house after struggling with the new mobile order on the app. Good idea though but still glitchy as it was showing 2 meals instead of 3.

We then headed over for our Pirates of the Caribbean fast pass.

Next up splash mountain. Definitely wearing ponchos for this one.

Excited to be riding Big Thunder Mountain as the last time we came it was shut for refurbishment.

We have stopped for a break at Gaston’s Tavern for mums favourite snack, a Cinnamon bun.

The size of this always amuses me.

Next stop the Little Mermaid ride. Always a good one to chill out on.

Our favourite thing to do when we are hot and tired is go on the people mover in Tomorrowland.

I’m not sure why but I’ve always loved Carousel of Progress. My sister and I are always singing the song. It’s such a sweet show.

We then headed onto Space Mountain. My face tells the tale of the least enthused person in the world but I can ensure you it was quite the opposite.

I’ve been needing a new phone case for a while now and found the personalised phone case section in the space mountain exit shop thanks to my mum. So I got this adorable case

Onto Buzz Lightyear. I absolutely love this ride it’s so much fun!!

Smashed it!

I then had a photo shoot at the Instagram purple wall.

Having dinner at Crystal Palace along with some friends you might know..

Tiger insisted on slow dancing with me. I mean who can resist.

We have now taken our spots to see Happily Ever After. This is my first time seeing it so I cannot wait and fully expect to cry.

Happily Ever After was truly amazing. Wishes will always hold a place in my heart but it’s easy to get over it ending when such a great show has replaced it!

Decided to get my favourite snack before Once Upon a Time.

Once Upon a Time was a wonderful show and I’m in awe of how they manage to project onto the castle like that! Now time to go to bed!!

We normally always start our first day at the Magic Kingdom but today there is extra morning hours at Animal Kingdom so we thought we would switch up our schedule to go see Avatar land.

Waiting to get into Pandora.. there’s just a few people here

Absolutely stunning

Haven’t queued for this long in a long time. Edit: it was only a 10 minute wait in the end.

That was the most incredible ride ever!! Completely understand the hype. Couldn’t stop smiling throughout.

Gotta take a selfie.

Classic photo in front of the Tree of Life

Next stop Kilimanjaro Safari. Always good to go early on in the morning where most of the animals are the most active.

Baby hippo

We have headed back to Pandora for a fast pass on the Navi River Journey.

The river journey was sweet and beautiful but I’m glad we didn’t wait the 90 minute wait for it!

I having been dying to try this drink since I first saw it online. The nightblossom did not disappoint.

Magical shot. Not quite where we were pointing 😂

Next stop Expedition Everest!! One of my favourite rides.

Lunch at flame grilled bbq. We had a crane trying to steal our food. Safe to say I was scared!!

Off to Kali River Rapids now. Will be good to cool down in this muggy weather.

Those of you who know me or have read my trip reports before will know how Finding Nemo the Musical is my all time favourite musical. The music is amazing and I love the set and puppets. Can’t wait for it to begin.

Time for a trip through time on dinosaur

Next up Festival of the Lion King. Love the music in this show.

We are now at Yak and Yeti for our evening meal.

I’m having the biggest portion of lo mein I’ve ever seen.

Mum and dad are both having a lobster, shrimp garlic pasta with scallops.

A very tired Tasha is waiting for the rivers of light show. Haven’t seen this before so will be interesting to see!

I found Rivers of Light quite cute and the technology was very clever. However I felt it lacked in storyline and was rather short. Off back to the hotel now for a good nights rest.

The day has finally come where my parents and I fly to Walt Disney World for the 11th time (I think). This time we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have stayed there before for a few days when I was 7 so I’m excited to go back as an adult.

About to board our flight!! Still hasn’t sunk in yet

On the plane. From left to right: Theresly (Shopperholic), Natasha (Mickeyfan) and Simon (SMAX)

We have landed and are on our way to Animal Kingdom Lodge!! Let the adventure begin!!

Disney sure knows how to make grand entrances

We’ve always enjoyed an evening at AKL just watching the animals at these little look out spots!

Our home for two weeks

Our balcony where we have already spotted some Scimitar-horned Oryx (according to our wildlife spotting guide)

Love Disney’s details

My all time favourite animal is the giraffe. I actually squealed when I saw this one.

Flatbreads all round before we crash in our room. Tomorrow the adventure begins with Animal Kingdom.

Today was dapper day in Disneyland so of course I went as my favourite character Rapunzel.

Another very rainy day which was a shame as people where wearing such lovely Dapper Day outfits beneath their coats!

Today we did a lot of the rides that we hadn't done in the park. First was Snow Whites scary adventure ride.

This was in a shop next to the ride. Very cute.

Next up we went on Autopia. Just in time as it started to rain afterwards.

This attraction is where you get to drive around on a track. We were put in a rather fetching pink coloured car. This one was a lot better then the Tomorrowland Speedway in Disney World.

We then went on the Disneyland railway around the park to escape the rain.

Enter foolish mortals. We then went on the haunted mansion again.

We then got a spots for the rather wet but highly enjoyable parade!

I was very excited to see that they had finding Nemo puppets like in finding Nemo the musical!

We then went into the Alice's in wonderlands maze. This is one of the few attractions I remember from when I was 6!

We then got to the centre and climbed up the castle.

There was great views across fantasy land from up there!

We then went on big thunder mountain again. Lost track of how many times we went on this!

After we went to get some dinner in Colonel Hathis again. You'll be happy to know that the food was much better and warmer this time! We then took our spot for Disney illuminations right by the castle.

Everyone thought it started at 10 like normal but then we all realised the park was open till 10:30 that day so we had to wait a little longer!

Pride lands

Frozen. The moment all the children squeal and the adults groan.

We then went back to the bar in our hotel. Where mum, lauren and I got sparkling wine and raspberry chambord. Which we have now purchased now we are back in England.

Dad of course got whiskey again. It was a very good day despite the weather!

We started off the Star Wars Soiree waiting for the space mountain Star Wars revamp, Hyper Space Mountain. I was really excited for this ride as I've always wanted to do this ride since I was a little child longingly watching my parents go on this ride!

We waited about 30 minutes for them to open the ride.

We ended up going on this ride 3 times in a row. One thing I will mention is that if you have long hair, it will get trapped in the seat at some point!

We saw a few very disappointed people that weren't able to fit into the seats.

This ride was a double thumbs up from all of us! It was very intense and very cool. At the beginning they played the classic Star Wars music and everyone cheered which was awesome.

We then of course had to do the Star Tours ride again. We got different clips to what we normally get which was a bonus.

We then headed over to Walt Disney Studios where the bulk of the Soiree was. They had lots of different photo opportunities.

We first waited 20 minutes for another ride on the EAC on Crushes Coaster.

Love this huge buzz that they have on the entrance to Toystory land.

The parks were so quite for this event! We walked onto the Ratatouille ride which is normally about a 60 minute wait!

This was the first time we were in the standard queuing area. It was very well themed!

Hanging out with my pal Rex!

We then jumped on the Parachute Drop ride. This ride is very slow at loading so you can understand why it's often a 45 minute wait! I also got stuck on the ride where I had 5 people trying to get me out! Could've only happened to me!!

We then jumped on to the tram tour. This was a little underwhelming. I do miss seeing the costumes like they did in Disney World.

Catastrophe canyon

We then took a ride on the Tower of Terror. This time it was played in English! That was quite different.

Upon exiting Tower of Terror we found the free face painting they were doing for the event. Of course I had to get it. I love the shading and the sparkles.

We then watched the stage show which is the same that they had when we were last out in Florida.

After a short break for food. We jumped on Aladdins carpet.

We then bumped into these weird and wonderful creatures.

Tower of Terror is so pretty at night!

They had a dance party on stage before the firework and project show to keep everyone entertained.

Dad and I then went on rock and rollercoaster. Lauren and mum didn't cause it hurts their heads too much.

And the show begins...

The projections were incredible! They really used the building well including the little windows!

The Soiree was a very fun evening it was great to go on rides with next to no queue! We got back to the hotel at 12:30 and by that time I could barely walk.

Today we spent the day in Disneyland. It was so much warmer today which was very welcome!

Both Lauren and Disneyland Paris are 25 years old this year!

Another castle selfie.

First stop was Casey Jr. this ride is one of the few memories I have of this park from when I was 6. In fact I still have dreams about it now!

Proving that the parents are on holiday with us.

Next stop was the story book boat ride. Another one of the few memories I have of this place.

Next we explored Sleeping Beauty's castle. A privilege you don't have in Disney World!

We then went to see Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris

We then ate at Au Chalet De La Marionnette.

After waiting for 40 minutes for our food we were very disappointed that the chicken was very dry!

We headed over to big thunder mountain and rode it three times in a row!

We then went on Buzz Lightyears laser blast. I found that your have to be a lot more accurate on this ride than the Disney world equivalent.

We then went on Star Tours to kick off our Star Wars Soirée. Before which I headed back to the hotel to change into more comfortable footwear and my storm trooper top! I will be posting a separate trip report for the Soiree so keep an eye out for that.
