This morning was to be spent at typhoon lagoon , it was around 70 degrees and boy it was chilly when you were wet. The kids lured me on to Humanga kowabunga and I still have the bruised backside from it . My word never again. I don’t think I touched the water until I hit the bottom. Everything was a walk on as I think the brits were the only mad people there. The cast members had their coats on on the rides . Anyway we had a great morning and left around 2pm to go get ready for mvmcp.
We were going to eat at Ohanas before the party but we had experienced such bad food onsite we decided to stop at millers ale house on the way back to Bahama Bay . Another excellent meal which was under $70 for the 5 of us. Suitably stuffed we headed back to get changed ready for mvmcp . We had decided that we were going as Santa and his elves again.

An elfie selfie Santa was driving of course.
Anyways we arrived at the ttc and started to get loads of comments . We decided to take the ferry across as this would be our last visit to mk and our last full day in Orlando so it’s always a nice way to travel across . What we did forget was our Christmas jumpers as the temperature dropped during the evening . Not freezing but could have done with my jumper , which was lonely in the car park
We arrived at mk around 5pm and collected our mvmcp bands. Cms had already started to steer people towards the park exit as the park was closing at 6pm. We went down the same way as we did for mnsshp earlier in the week and there was a cookie waiting for us .
We had already decided to do our fastpass plus one we had kindly been given by a cm earlier in the week so we did buzz and space as they were close by. We grabbed a few photopass photos as we had dressed up . Lots of people were in matching Christmas t shirts or Christmas pyjamas but no one had really dressed up so again lots of comments
The rides were all being checked for wristbands as well as moving between lands , which was great to see as the party’s cost so much money to attend.
We did a few treat trails but there are only so many cookies you can physically eat and you get 2 every time . I still think a pin or something would be better than the huge amounts of cookies. At least they were different flavours as they used to be all the same wherever you went.
Christmas wishes was as always amazing and the Christmas show lovely ( not 100% sure about the texting part of the show though) .

Tom sawyers island looked beautiful with the snowflake projection on it .

We then had about an hr before the parade started as we had waited for the 2nd one. Mk was really quiet compared to the last few days so it was lovely to walk round .

The smell from this one is Devine

And the came Santa , I was too busy waving to him to take a picture though

Then after that came the snow on Main Street . I love Christmas so therefore love mvmcp. It’s a great night. We managed to get back to Bahama Bay around 1:45am as it was mad trying to get out of mk even though we waited for the main crowds to leave . Home time tomorrow

My Magic Holiday

We spent the morning pottering around the apartment getting things ready to pack and then a few hours round the pool at Bahama Bay. Nice relaxing morning before heading to Hs later.

I was looking forward to Hs as Today was the first day of sunset seasons as well. We had read reports on it but were still a bit unsure about what it actually was. We arrived at HS and it was starting to get dusk. We picked up a times programme but sunset seasons was listed just as dusk to park close . I asked a cm and they didn’t seem to know either so we went on our TOT fastpass instead. As we came off it had started . 4 sequences on screens down sunset blvd which each ended with a different projection on the TOT. One was Olaf, the muppets, mickey and I can’t remember the other .

Tot as a gingerbread house

Toy story version

We did a few other rides then got a Space to watch jingle bell jingle bam. Well we watched it but I have to say I wasn’t blown away with it and thought it was all a bit of a mish mash with recycled music from osbourne lights thrown in for good measure.

This was another rearranged day kindly done by seaworld. It was 2013 once our last visit so the kids were looking forward to trying the new kraken and mako. We arrived at 10am which was lucky as the park had just opened . My lord was this park quiet and quiet all day. I think the only people who were in were all doing dine with Shamu as well.
It’s a real shame as we loved the park last visit . Anyway the rides were walk ons but we found out quickly kraken was closed , much to the kids disappointment , as it hadn’t been mentioned before.
Anyway they rode manta numerous times and convinced me to go on mako. Now I wasn’t overly keen as it’s rather high and you dint look like you are strapped in well but boy what a ride . Thoroughly enjoyed it even though I’m not a big coaster fan.
12:30 came around and it was time for dine with Shamu. I have to say I much preferred the format now you have lunch first then move over to the stadium . The food was really good and plentiful and you had plenty of time to eat. We were also to take drinks with us.
After lunch we did Atlantis a few times , never done it last visit , and had a good laugh. It’s a great water ride and a bit of a surprise really.

We decided to call it a day around 3:30pm as we were going to the outlets to spend and the park was so quiet we got it all done quiet quickly. As much as I love seaworld I’m not sure we will be returning soon again.

Today was check out day at the GF and we were surprised to see them starting to build the gingerbread house in the lobby. There was so much gingerbread in tubs everywhere.

They were also giving out samples of the gingerbread ( like a sponge more than a biscuit) and giving out recipes and generally chatting about the house. When it’s taken down it’s hosed down to remove the royal icing that holds it all together and then fed the the local bees as they go hungry in the winter months apparently. They also have to get the baking amonia from the chemist as they can’t buy it. I think she said the chef is Austrian and it’s their recipe. The sweets and chocolate were to be added later in the week once the icing had set.
Anyway it tastes lovely but so different to what we are used to here.

This afternoon we were off to the Star Wars dessert part at 5:15pm. Now I had cancelled this , but when my youngest found out he was mortified I had cancelled it so it got rebooked a few days earlier in the queue for the meet and greet for BB8. It was expensive though . Now I had been a bit sceptical after doing the HEA party the previous night. Well it didn’t disappointment at all. The food was 100% better then the plaza one at
M.k.

This food wasn’t half as sickly as the mk dessert one and the bud light went down well as well. I’m not a cocktail drinker so happy you could get other types of drinks as well

There was a lot of choice at this party , I get what others have said though about the standing part and we ended up in the cantina eating ours which was ok as we had the lanyard on but it was strange drinking alcohol and eating while people were passing through the launch Bay. It didn’t spoil it as the food was good but I can see that it didn’t feel as exclusive as it should have. Saying that i dud manage to eat quiet a few desserts
Around 6:45 they gathered us up to take us to the Chinese theatre viewing spot. It was great for the projections and the cms were fab but the firework viewing is much better further back to get the full effects of the brilliant firework show. If you love Star Wars I guarantee you will love this show. It’s brilliantly done .
We were all given a bb8 drinking cup which was fab ( took some getting home all five of them though ) and disappointingly they asked for the lanyard back . My so. Had walked off though so he didn’t realise so he kept his! I think for the price it wouldn’t have hurt them to let you keep it as it is pretty cool. Anyway overall I would give the mk one 7\10 and this one 9/10. They were both expensive at just short of $400 and I wouldn’t do the Mk one again but I would consider the Star Wars again.

We watched the movie show prior to the fireworks as well. Which was really good.

After we had watched these we made our way over to Epcot as we had been given Vip viewing of illuminations due to the rubbish experience of the ROL package . We were situated across from Italy in what became complaints corner. A small area roped of with a handful of us who had all had bad Cm experiences over the past week or so . Anyway it was a great view and although again no seating , we just turned up 5 minutes before and watched mk and illuminations at the same time.
Overall a great day and night.

So for today I had planned an overnight stay in the grand Floridian villas thanks to dibber Andrews. I have always wanted to stay here but it’s really expensive , so again by renting dvc points, it became possible. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The whole feel of it is stunning and it’s so relaxed. It’s not overly posh though and you certainly don’t feel out of place or unwelcome here at all. We had a lake view deluxe studio which was lovely but I have to say out all of the Disney deluxe ,we have stayed at trip , this was the smallest room. There is no way as a family we would have been comfortable to stay here. At least I have tried it though so I’m happy anyway.

Little touches 🙂

Small kitchen area, handy but really tiny .

View from the balcony

Pool area is stunning and a fabulous pool.

Today I had also got a lunch reservation to be our guest. Everything had been planned around each hotel stay to maximise the time spent at the nearest park and the hotel. I’ve never done lunch before at BOG and it was bedlam. We had preordered but the person in front decided to change everything they had ordered and there were only 2 of them but it took ages and involved the chef coming out. We eventually got served , found a table in the library and then after a while our food came. It was ok but nothing special but it is one of the more reasonably priced bog menus. We had the pork and it was good.

It was just enough as we had were attending the MK dessert party later. We decided to go back to the GF after a few hrs in mk and spend some time in the pool.
At 7:45pm it was time to go to the Tomorrowland terrace fir the desert party. I had booked the gardens one but you check in at Tomorrowland and this is where you eat.

So this is the view you would have from the seats on the terrace

And this is from the gardens .

I personally think this is the better view but it was very busy and we all ended up standing when the fireworks started. It was much better though the the mad scrum that we had had experienced on the 4th Nov. Anyway when you check in you get a wristband so you can move around and leave for the restroom etc. The desserts were plentiful but so sickly. Although we were hungry you couldn’t eat too many of them without feeling sick. The drink choice was also very limited and they even ran out of coffee at one point. We also didn’t take anything across to the gardens with us although we asked if we could. Whether it was because it was very busy I dont know.
Anyway the view was really good and just about positioned brilliantly .

Overall it was a great night , the view was really good but the Star Wars dessert party food was sooo much better. They really could make the food better and it would be perfect.
So back to the GF after a great relaxing day.

So it was Saturday and this was always going to be a busy but relaxed day . We had garden grill booked for breakfast at pre park opening as it was marathon day and knew Epcot and the other parks would be rammed. They didn’t serve breakfast last time and I gave to say it was a great start. The characters were all funny but Pluto thought it would be funny to jump out on me and scare me silly. Oh how everyone laughed lol. Think they heard me scream in the land lol . Anyway we managed soarin , test track and frozen before 11am

Mum was back on form

Loved the frozen ride but never realised you get so wet so we came off dripping.

Next stop was Hollywood Studios. I had fastpass for here so we hopped on the boat at international gateway. Took about 30 minutes.we did TOT which everyone loves, toy story and star tours , guess who got ears in front of them again and I’d taken Mine off grrr. We watched the march of the first order , which ds loved . He’s a star Wars nut.
Anyway ice cream from Hollywood scoops eaten and frozen raspberry lemonade from mins and we’re on our way back to Epcot on the boat. It was 3pm and Epcot was rammed now with more people streaming in. It was really hot and full of large drinking groups , I was so glad to be getting out of there as it just wasn’t for us at all. I’ll post a pic of how busy it was when Ive loaded them .
Next we were off to magic kingdom as we had bog dinner at 5:25pm. Fought our way out of Epcot to the parking lot And forgot where we left the car.the marathon was still on when we got there so in our defence it was a bit manic lol. Anyway lots of car beeping we found it. Today was really hot so we decided to boat it over to MK which was lovely.

Nothing finer to see

Christmas is here

Be our guest trimmed up

I love bog but I have to say the food wasn’t up to scratch this time . The cous cous was foul and salty. And for the price there wasn’t Alot of it . We had French onion to start which was nice and cupcakes for after .

Whopping bill.

After dinner we went round the shops .im still debating about the new Mrs Potts and chip tea set but think it’s a lot of money .
Next up trying to get a spot for HEA. Is this took us by surprise but made me realise although the dessert party for tomorrow was expensive . It would indeed be worth every penny. It was mental.

Looking back to the train station

Looking forward, this was at 8pm and you couldn’t move.
We stayed out and I gave to say it wasnt a bad spot and the fireworks blew us away.

We escaped into the emporium as it was mad on Main Street but we were staying to watch once upon a time at 9:45 but getting trampled waiting. Totally bonkers. Once upon a time was good . We hung around again but it still took us around 45 mins to get to the TTC on the resort monorail. The express one was back to mk entrance as were the buses and the ferry.
Overall a great night but looking forward to the dessert party and taking some photos as I couldn’t move my arms much.

So relaxing at discovery cove today and up to date phew.

So after a brilliant stay we said goodbye to AKL ( reluctantly ) . Ds took his towel teddy that the lovely chunk had made for him the night before in the lobby. I think I’ve fallen in love with this place so much. Anyway , another easier day so ack to animal kingdom fir another FOP fastpass. Mum and I went back to Pandora last night for a quick walk round at night and it really is stunning so go if you can.
The boys and dh wanted to do rides so off they went to do Everest while mum and I stayed for the lion king show. Guess what we had In front of us, yep ears . Anyway we enjoyed what we saw of it. Ds got a banshee , we weren’t keen on him getting on but what can you say to a 13 to old on his holiday. He was happy anyway and that’s what matters .
So off back to Bahama Bay to do the washing etc , rock and roll lol. We had McDonald’s for lunch basically because we just couldn’t face a big meal again so we had 5 happy meals. The chip buckets are tiny lol.
The boys and dh loved the muscle cars and old town is lovely for an evening stroll and the shops quiet quaint. It’s a great evening for something different. We called at Perkins on the way home, think it was around $70ish so good value for 5 of us. We also popped in super target where it was refreshing to see proper sized clothes models . Little things impress me sometimes lol .

Banshee swearing in
