Our amazing villa owned by Karen aka. Welshwiz on here if anyone is interested we would definitely recommend. PM me if have any questions

Not much to report on for our final day as it was very depressing having to head home. We have had the most amazing honeymoon and sitting here now back at home makes me sad although we seem to have brought back the sunshine so that's always good.

So out last day (Wednesday) consisted of tidying up the villa and having a last swim in the pool. We didn't have to leave until we wanted to as our lovely owner had delayed the cleaning by a day as no one was due in directly after us. This was really helpful knowing we didn't have to be out by 10am and kill time until it was ready to head to airport.

We had to get an extra case as we had bought so much stuff. Luckily we had great baggage allowance being in PE with VA. So a last trip to Walmart to pick up a suitcase and then we went to Chick-fil-A for our final lunch

I had the nuggets, Phil had the tenders and both came with waffle fries.

Typical trying somewhere amazing on your last day isn't it!!

Both were really good and proper chicken breast. Also the Chick-fil-A sauce was amazing, mix of bbq sauce and honey mustard. Yum!

Nuggets

Tenders

So we packed up the car and headed to the airport at about 2pm. We stopped to fuel up on the way.

I have no more photos now as I was too sad to take any more

We had a burger king after security which was fine.

Took off on time and dinner was a choice of beef stroganoff, some sort of chicken in an Asian sauce and pesto cream pasta.

None of them really took my fancy so I tried the pasta but it was nasty tasting. Only had 2 bites. Phil tried the stroganoff and said it was ok. He just picked at it.

It was served with the usual salad and bread and a Smores cake which was actually really nice.

Tried to sleep and watch a few films then breakfast was served about hour and half before landing. We both declined as wasn't hungry so no idea what was served. Flight was 7 hours exactly so nice and quick.

So that's it people! Thanks to everyone who read along and took the time to comment. It was mostly for myself to look back on but it was great knowing others were enjoying it too

Any questions about anywhere we ate etc. Please PM me

Lois

Today was our last full day

We are all parked out to be honest so went gift/last min shopping at various places.

For lunch we went to Arby's on the H27. First for us and I really liked it, Phil said it was average. However he would go back if I wanted to next time but order what they are famous for, the roast beef.

We both had the buttermilk chicken, bacon & Swiss. It had honey mustard sauce on it. I really loved it and would get again. It was cooled fresh and was nice and hot.

They serve meals with curly fries. Yum!

The last evening meal of the trip was back to Texas Roadhouse as we both loved it last week. We pretty much got the same however we got an Uber so we could both enjoy a drink.

I got the offer drink such was $5.25 margarita any flavour with a "kicker" of tequila. I chose strawberry and ended up having 2 of them. They were super strong!! The kicker is in a tube and you can either pour it in or shot it, I poured because I'm not crazy! Ha!

Yum!

The Kickers! I was given the Patron one as that was the offer.

Phil got a Sam Adams and also ended up having another.

We had the chilli as one of our sides again but also had this come out first.

Also had 2 rounds of delicious hot bread.

I had exactly the same as last time. Fillet medallions with Portobello mushroom sauce, seasoned rice and steak fries. Just as good as last week! Definitely a fave meal of the trip!

Phil got the 8oz Dallas fillet again but with a baked potato this time. He once again enjoyed it very much!

He also got a side of grilled shrimp which he loved!

We headed to typhoon lagoon today. Got in for 10.10 and had done all the slides by midday! Crowd level was great and id say 80% British people. It was not as hot either so perfect water park weather. We stopped for a drink and a donut before showering but I didn't have a phone on me to capture it sorry.

We headed to the vineland outlets for a little shop and stopped at A&W for lunch.

We both got a Papa burger combo. Basically a big Mac with more salad and better and bigger in my opinion. Big macs are my fave but they are so small in the UK. It was a great burger anyway, fries were ok nothing special.

We popped further along the 535 to what seems like a new shopping plaza just past the LBV outlets. Sunset plaza I think it was called anyway it has a publix, Ross, TJ Maxx, 5 below and a few other shops and food outlets.

We fancied something sweet so got a Twistee Treat hot fudge sundae each. Very good but not enough fudge in my opinion

Tea will just be a feast of left over pizza hut!

Thanks for reading

We got an Uber to Epcot to check out the food & wine festival. We got the car to the Beach Club as I wanted Phil to see it and convince him we need to stay there next time. He actually agreed yay!!

Anyway onto the food and drink

First stop was Canada booth for the cheese and bacon soup with pretzel roll. This was amazing and I'm definitely going to try and make something like this at home!

Will post the rest later as need to get ready for Typhoon Lagoon

We got a Moosehead Radler to try also from Canada which is described as lager infused with grapefruit, grape and lemon juices. It was really nice and refreshing and definitely something I would try buy size.

At the Australia booth we tried the grilled sweet and spicy bush berry shrimp. This was so nice. The flavours worked well together and I could have easily ate more. The shrimp tasted nice and fresh too.

This was accompanied by Coopers Brewery original pale ale. Phil enjoyed this but with me not being a massive ale fan I thought it was just ok.

Next stop was over to Mexico. We didn't fancy any food here but stopped at the Margarita stand for some drinks.

I had a mango one and Phil a strawberry. These were very strong but sooo good!

We managed to get a fp for Frozen so we rode this before heading to Germany.

As a side note we really enjoyed the frozen adaptation of Maelstrom. Phil had never ridden either version and I hadn't ridden Maelstrom since 2000. It was a cute ride and the children on our boat all loved it. Who doesn't love Olaf anyway

So onto the beer! We chose the beer flight from the Brewers Collection stand which consisted of:

Radeberfer Zwickel Pilsner (furthest from camera)
Hacker-Pschorr Hefe Weisse Naturtrub (middle)
Schofferhofer Hefeweizen pomegranate beer (dark one)

No idea what any of that means but 3 German beers!

My fave was the pomegranate beer and I would definitely drink more of it!

Phil really enjoyed the middle one he got a taste of toffee and a burned nut but it just tasted like ale to me and I wasn't a fan.

The Pilsner just tasted like any other Pilsner. Nice enough!

Next stop was Fife & Drum at the American pavilion. I have wanted to try an American Dream for 3 years so I had to have one and it didn't dissapoint!! It's blue slush with ice cream and a strawberry slush. So nice and creamy!!

Phil got this purely for it's name:

Hanson Brothers Beer Company Mmmhops pale ale. This is created by the brothers in Hanson the band (Mmmbob from the 90s is a classic in my opinion ) who are now getting into craft beer.

Phil said this was ok but had a bitter after taste. Similar to Sam Adams but not as nice and he loves Sam Adams.

Next stop was Japan...

We purchased a Teriyaki chicken bun - steamed bun filled with Chicken, vegetables and a sweet teriyaki sauce..

This was really nice and I could have easily ate 5!!

We got adventurous and tried the Ozeki Rao Sake, aka rocket fuel!! Yuk, not again for me, it just tasted like pure alcohol and no taste at all. I only had 2 sips so Phil took one for the team and treated it like a shot! Good lad!

Next was Belgium where we tried Beer-braised beef with smoked gouda mashed potatoes.

This was beautiful!! The mash was amazing but the beef was just delicious! So good we got another portion!

We also got a St Bernadarus Witbier from here but I don't seem to have a photo and Phil can't really remember it so I'm guessing it was unremarkable!

The above photo is from France and was another beef dish. Similar to the Belgium one but not as nice. It was carbonade de boeuf so basically beer braised beef with bacon onion and mash. The beef was fatty and probably only had one piece of bacon in it. It was nice just not a patch on the Belgium one.

We finished with a La Passion Martini slush each. Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron, cranberry and passion fruit juice. This was really nice and fruity. Not as strong as I thought it would be though but still good!

We walked over to Beach Club to get an Uber back to the villa.

Hello

Tea consisted of another Pizza Hut by the pool. We got the same chicken bbq pizza as last time.

Spicy garlic boneless wings. These were good!

Quepapas which are little potato bites with cheese and jalapeno. Very nice!

Cajun fries. Delicious!

We only ate half of each so it's left overs for tea tonight too (Monday).

Lovely Walt

We spent Saturday morning at I-drive 360 or whatever it is called now. We had lunch at Hooters.

Phil had 10 boneless chipolte bbq wings.

He also has tater tots. These were great!

I had 10 boneless wings in Daytona beach sauce. Very nice!!

Side of Mac n cheese. Also good.

Hooters was fine. Typical sports bar food but B-Dubs is better in my opinion

After another trip to the old town to see some classic cars we headed back towards the villa and stopped at Wendys. Both got large Coke Freestyle drinks.

We both got spicy chicken burgers. They were fine but Checkers were better.

Fries.

Chicken nuggets, not the worst but not the best.

Cup of chilli. It didn't come close to Texas Roadhouse but was nice enough.

Wendy's was ok but it wasn't even on par with what we can get at home from McDonald's or BK. Probably wouldn't go back and go for a Checkers instead if fancy fast food.

We didn't get in from MK until approx 2am so we had a really lazy morning. It was nearly 11am before we were up and wanting food. We got ready and headed to Olive Garden at Rolling Oaks. Neither of us have been before. I love pasta but Phil always gets full too quick off it so avoids it really. He knew how much I wanted to go so suggested we try it out

This was the salad that comes out when you order any entree. It's either soup or salad/breadsticks.

It was really nice but if we went back I would ask for the dressing on the side as it was a bit too wet for my liking.

One of many breadsticks So warm, buttery and garlicky! Delicious!

So because I couldn't decide what to get as I wanted to try lots of dishes I decided on the Tour of Italy so it covered 3 different things, that and I'm greedy

It was lasagna classico, chicken parm and fettucini Alfredo.

So all 3 were really good but my fave by far was the lasagna. It had ricotta cheese instead of bechemal sauce and it worked so well with the meat sauce. If we ever go back I'd just get that and copious amounts of breadsticks of course

Phil got a full portion of chicken Alfredo. He really liked it but it finished him off haha!

We had a little shop at Ross and TJ Maxx and bought loads of things we don't really need at Five Below. Great store!

I picked up a cold Dunkin Donuts Mocha as despite a big sleep in I was flagging! Probably all the breadsticks!

We stopped at Publix on the way back to the villa and got some cold chicken tenders for tea.

We had these at about 7pm with some Hawaiian rolls and some Funyuns. Simple but good!

One of my favourite crisps in the US.

This was my drink of choice tonight. I love Barefoot wine and have it at home quite often so these were really good. They come in a little 4 pack in different flavours.

Yesterday we went out to Denny's for breakfast. I had the Lumberjack Slam. It was delicious!

My pancakes.

Phil's Belgian Waffle slam minus the waffle because it came out later and I was too busy eating to take a pic.

He didn't really enjoy his at all unfortunately just wasn't impressed.

We went to Posner Park IMAX to watch The Predator. The cinema was great and really nice inside. Film was cool too. We just had a Coke to share.

We stopped at Racetrac for fuel and some drinks after the cinema.

Extra large frozen Dr Pepper and a frozen Mountain Dew. $1.79 each and sooo good! Dirt cheap compares to cinema prices

For tea before heading to MK after hours we stopped at Texas Roadhouse. A first for us and we loved it! We are trying not to eat at the same place twice but we may just go back here it was that good!

These were the delicious bread rolls. Warm and soft and served with a cinnamon butter.

We both got two sides with our main, one being a choicd of a cup of chilli. Our server said we could have that come out first so we did.

Omg this was so nice. I love chilli and this was just so good. I ate Phil's too not even going to lie as he doesn't really like chilli so he got it mostly for me anyway. He's a good husband

For mains I got the 3 fillet tenderloins smothered in peppercorn sauce on seasoned rice and another side was fries. This was amazing. Steak was perfect, sauce was perfect, rice was perfect and chips were perfect!! Up there in my top 3 meals of holiday

Phil had the 8oz Dallas fillet and steak fries. He loved it and also rated it as a fave meal of the holiday.

We headed to MK after hours and this event was so worth the money. Longest wait all night was SD mine train at 15 mins. We got on everything we wanted to do. Done space mountain twice in a row, we didn't even have to leave the rocket

Did big thunder twice, haunted mansion twice, pirates, all the rides in fantasy land that I would never queue for but just walked on so it was great to experience. Loved the event and how empty it was. Getting photos in front of an empty castle was amazing!

Included in the cost is unlimited ice cream bars, popcorn and soft drinks/water.

We had several drinks over the night and a Mickey premium bar each.

Yum!

Love!!

Main street as we were leaving.

Would definitely recommend this event if you love MK but don't want to battle with the day time crowds.
