Beaches and Cream is located in the common area near Stormalong Bay in Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort. This well favoured shop is open daily from 11am to 11pm.
This Soda Shop oozes with the 1950's vintage era, taking you back to old-fashioned childhood memories of seaside holidays. Decorated in pastel colours, with wall morals and with tunes coming from the Jukebox, it evokes a great fun-filled atmosphere.
Seating is a range of booths, tables and chairs in the middle and there are a few bar stools situated at the counter.
From the Grill there are menu offerings of Burgers, Hot Dog, Pot Roast Sandwich, Beaches Rachel Sandwich as well as Chicken Caesar Salad, Classic Turkey Club or the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque.
They have also introduced a 'Speciality French Fries' Menu... where you can enjoy Gravy Fries, Cheese and Bacon Fries and Chill and Cheese Fries.
Shakes and Soda's are re-nowned to be the 'Best in Town', with ice-cream soda, coke or root beer float or try the 'Frozen Sunshine' made with orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream and seltzer blended and topped with whipped cream and a candied orange slice.
Cool sundae concoctions also feature with the classic Banana Split, Fudge Mud Slide, Milky Way sundae or a No Way Jose!
The shops latest addition, is a Souvenir ' Mickey's Kitchen Sink', filled with hot fudge, strawberry and caramel topping served over hand scooped chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter chips and cherries!
Kids can choose from Cheeseburger or Hot Dog or can have a 'Complete Meal' with a Fresh Fruit Cup, Grilled Chicken Strips or Grilled Beef Skewers, both served with rice and corn followed by dessert of Strawberry Yogurt topped with fresh berries and sliced almonds.
Food and service great and a good atmosphere; watch out foe the siren when someone orders the kitchen sink dessert. I can't remember exactly what goes into it except "a whole can of cream".
Worth a visit as it is a short trip from Epcot World Gateway via the Boardwalk by boat.
