Chef Art Smith's Homecoming
Celebrity Chef Art Smith has opened his brand new restaurant 'Homecoming', in The Landing area of Disney Springs. It is open to guests for Lunch and Dinner from 11.30am until 11pm daily.
You'll find 'Art Smith's Homecoming' in the up and coming Disney Springs, opposite Marimoto Asia. The restaurant has been themed to invoke a homely and inviting feel, yet in a sleek and modern way. There is a large bright and airy indoor seating area, with Floridian artwork adorning the walls. There is also a covered porch area and a walk-up bar, where you can soak up the lovely waterfront view. They have the added bonus of a 'Grab & Go' window, for those who just want a quick bite.
The all important menu offers delectable farm-to-fork cuisine showcasing Florida’s fresh flavors. Feel-good favorites include deviled eggs, fried chicken and the restaurant’s signature Shine Cake, soaked with Moonshine Syrup—all crafted from recipes by an award-winning celebrity chef.
How about starting or sharing a Jasper Board, an assortment of Pimento cheese, smoked sausage, shaved ham, pickles, candied pecans and bread and butter, or try the Shrimp Jubilee made with shrimps, mango, avocado, sweet onion, herbs and a jubilee cocktail sauce. There's also a range of Salads, Dumplings, or Buns and Sandwiches.
For a hearty homecoming entree, you could go for the Chopped Pork Barbecue Plate - dressed with HFK sweet and spicy barbecue sauce served with Momma's mac and cheese and cheddar drop biscuits or Strip Steak Topped with Palmetto Butter - served with creamy mashed potatoes and dressed beans. But the star of the show, has to be Chef Art's signature dish - Fried Chicken Dinner - buttermilk chicken perfectly fried and served with creamy mashed potatoes, cheddar drop biscuits and love!
Desserts are pretty much of a must here, there's a few delicious puds on offer! Choose from Auntie's Chocolate Cake, Fresh from Florida Cobbler, Hummingbird Cake, Hamilton County Pecan Pie or Chef Art's Signature dessert - Shine Cake - for adults only, a butter cake soaked in Moonshine Syrup served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
