Disney Springs
The 29th September 2015 saw the official renaming of the former Downtown Disney to Disney Springs.
A massive expansion project has been undertaken at Downtown Disney and was completed in 2016. Disney Springs offers guests a new parking deck with an array of 150 shopping, entertainment & dining venues.
Drawing inspiration from Florida’s waterfront towns and natural beauty, Disney Springs treats guests to a one-of-a-kind Disney experience amid beautiful open-air promenades, flowing springs and waterfront charm.
Disney Springs includes four interconnected neighborhoods: The Landing, Marketplace, West Side and Town Center.
New to Disney Springs is The Landing, home to unique shopping locations and memorable dining experiences, including the recently opened Morimoto Asia and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.
West Side
West Side showcases top-notch restaurants, a 24-screen AMC Pleasure Island movie theater, and other uncommon shops. Here you'll also find the exquisite Cirque du Soleil La Nouba live entertainment show and the recently opened NBA Experience, which offers a range of dining, retail and interactive opportunities. Splitsville, a bowling alley/eatery stays lively through the day and into the evening and late night.
Marketplace
The Marketplace provides an appealing place to take a break from Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks especially if you're in search of Disney merchandise. Check out the LEGO store or lose yourself searching for Disney merchandise in the expanded World of Disney Store. For more of a respite, relax with a Margarita at the recently renovated Dockside Bar, whilst enjoying the waterfront view.
The Landing
Enjoy a brand new mix of shopping and dining experiences at The Landing formerly known as Pleasure Island. Restaurants The Boathouse, Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar and Morimoto Asia have recently opened joining the ever popular Raglan Road Irish Pub & Bar and Paradiso 37. There are many shopping outlets here, such as Curl by Sammy Duval and Orlando Harley-Davidson.
Town Center
The Town Center area is still being completed, but will offer a mixture and dining and retail outlets as well as a promenade for guests to relax on. Guests were able to experience the first phase of the Town Centre opening on the 15th May 2016.
Guest Services
Guest Services at Disney Springs covers such topics as where to find an ATM, where to park and how to rent a stroller, wheelchair or electric convenience vehicle (ECV). This list also contains some of the benefits to Guests who stay at a Disney Resort hotel.One Guest servives counter is located at Disney Quest on West Side and another can be found behind Arribas Brothers in the Market Place area.
Entertainment
Entertainment at Disney Springs takes place throughout the day and into the night with a wide array of acrobatic artistry, art, theater, music and even an indoor interactive theme park.
Cirque du Soleil will premiere a brand new show 'Drawn to Life', on 17 April 2020 at Disney Springs. Collaborating with Walt Disney Animation and Walt Disney Imagineering, the show is bound to bring a mesmerising theatrical production.
Located in The Landing area, next to the BOATHOUSE restaurant, guests can treat themselves to an all new 'unique experience' with a tour around the lake in one of the beautifully restored 'Amphicars'. The 20 minute trip along with it's own Captain costs $125 for up to three people and operates daily from 10am until 10pm.
Dining
Dining at Disney Springs includes quick-service restaurants that serve fast snacks, as well as numerous specialized eateries that offer regional, ethnic and elegant fare. Many restaurants offer panoramic views of Buena Vista Lagoon; others provide live entertainment.
Shopping
Shopping at Disney Springs means finding everything from magnets to music to Disney character merchandise in the world's largest Disney store. Participate in pin trading, pick out some apparel or perhaps get a princess makeover at the unique Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Coming soon are famous retail names such as Pandora, Zara, L'Occitane en Provence, Edward Beiner, Tommy Bahama, UNIQLO and Lilly Pulitzer.
Parking
Valet Parking $20 per day + gratuity - located on the West Side near Cirque du Soleil, Town Center near the entrance to the Orange Garage, and the Marketplace in front of Basin
Preferred Parking $10 per day - located in the Grapefruit lot on the West Side near to Cirque du Soleil, or the Lemon lot near to World of Disney in the Marketplace
Complimentary self-parking is also available.
Watercraft Routes
A daily Water Taxi service is available between 10.30am until 11.30pm, allowing guests to travel from Disney Springs to certain Disney Resorts.
- Red Route - Water taxi service the West Side dock and Marketplace dock from 10am until 11.30pm
- Yellow Route - Sassagoula River Cruise, to and from Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside from the Marketplace Dock.
- Green Route - West Side to and from Old Key West
- Blue Route - West Side to and from Saratoga Springs Resort
