Looking back at some memories from 2018 I remembered DW and I decided to go up to Orlando via Gulf Coast and have to say it was one of the most beautiful road trips we've ever done in Florida with nice large and small coast towns along the way.
I don't intend this to be a route Dibbers take as an expedite road to get to Disney, it's a 8:30h long journey considering the stops we made at Naples and Clearwater Beach to get some nice views. Leaving Miami Rental Car Center at 07:30 and finally arriving at Marriott's Harbour Lake at 16:00.
Getting from MIA to Naples via US41 W
Taking I75 northbound all the way up to exit 228 to get on I275
Take the most beautiful ride through the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to brunch at St. Pete's
Getting back on I275 up to Tampa
Exchange to I4 and then straight to Lake Buena Vista
Just my recommendation try it at least once, it'll be worth it!
I'll detail some key directions so people can exit MIA and get on the road westbound and up.
Exit RCC to FL-953 S on the left lane to get on the ramp
Exit left again to merge onto FL-953 S
Turn right onto NW 14th St
Turn left onto NW 43rd Pl
Turn right onto NW 45th Ave
Turn left onto NW 15th St
Turn left onto NW 22 St
After some 10 miles turn left onto NW 137th Ave
Turn right onto Tamiami Trail E/US41 W
After some 90 miles of cutting through the everglades where you can take boat rides, you'll find yourself in the heart of Naples
Afterwards to get onto I75 N continue straight toward 5th Ave Pwy ant turn right to 1st Ave S
Turn left onto Goodlette Rd S
2 miles after turn right onto Golden Gate Pkwy
3.5 miles after merge right onto I-75 N via the ramp to Tampa
120 miles straight then take exit 228 I275 N toward St. Petersburg passing by IMO the most beautiful passage in Florida, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge
Stop by St. Pete's Beach for brunch or a quick swim and head on back to I275 N for some 25 miles to Tampa and takie exit 45B for I4 E toward Orlando.
About 70 miles later take exit 67 Epcot Disney Springs
And here we are!
Hope you guys beared with me, again, it's worth to do at least once!
