Forthcoming Theme Park Attractions and New Parks

Listed below are a number of possible upcoming theme park attractions, lands, and new theme parks coming to Florida. Although the list contains all confirmed and strongly-rumoured new attractions, some of the details may still be somewhat vague - especially the opening date. Once the details, including the opening date, become known then the attraction or park will be added to the Theme Park Timeline.

Walt Disney World

Animal Kingdom

• None confirmed.

Epcot

• Guardians of the Galaxy ride - New indoor rollercoaster at Universe of Energy pavilion replacing Ellen's Energy Adventure, opening sometime in 2021 (possibly Spring).
• Ratatouille - New trackless 3D dark ride at the France pavilion, possibly opening in 2019 or 2020.
• Space-themed restaurant - New space-themed restaurant next to Mission: SPACE, possibly opening by 2020/2021.
• Mary Poppins themed attraction - Possible new ride at the UK pavilion, possibly opening in 2021.

Hollywood Studios

• Galaxy's Edge - New Star Wars themed land, opening sometime late in 2019 (possibly October).
  • Includes: Millenium Falcon ride (simulator-type ride), First Order Battle Escape dark ride (motion based dark ride similar to Spider-Man ride at Universal).
• Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway - New 2.5D dark ride replacing the Great Movie ride, opening sometime in 2019 (possibly May).
• Toy Story Land - New land, opening in June 2018.
  • Includes: Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster, Alien Swirling Saucers spinning ride.

Magic Kingdom

• Mainstreet Theater - Live entertainment theater based on the iconic Willis Theater in 1920s Kansas City, opening before 2021 (this may have been postponed/cancelled).
• TRON Lightcycle Power Run Roller Coaster - New coaster coming to Tomorrowland, opening in 2021 (possibly August).
• Changes to TomorrowLand Speedway - Possible TRON-themed update, possibly opening in 2021.

Blizzard Beach

• None confirmed.

Typhoon Lagoon

• None confirmed.

General

• Riviera Resort - New DVC resort between Epcot and the Caribbean Beach Resort, possibly opening in 2020.
• Skyliner - New gondola skyway transport system connecting Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts with Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot, possibly opening in late 2019.
• Star Wars Hotel - New hotel linked to Galaxy's Edge area in Hollywood Studios, possibly opening in 2021.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Studios

• Fast & Furious: Supercharged - New indoor ride, opening in Spring 2018. This replaces Disaster.
• New live-action experience - New indoor experience based on a high-energy Universal franchise, opening in 2019. This replaces Terminator 2 3D.

Islands of Adventure

• Harry Potter dark ride - new indoor rollercoaster ride, opening in 2019. This replaces Dragon Challenge.

Volcano Bay

• None confirmed.

Seaworld Orlando

• Infinity Falls - Water rapids ride, opening in Summer 2018.

Aquatica

• Ray Rush - New family waterslide, opening in Spring 2018. This replaces HooRoo Run.

Busch Gardens Tampa

• None confirmed.
