Frontera Cocina is a welcome addition to the Town Center at Disney Springs. It opened it's doors to guests on 27th June 2016. The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 11pm, offering a lunch and dinner service. They also have a walk-up window for those who want to eat on-the-go.
Frontera Cocina is owned by the renowned Chef Rick Bayless, who is the winner of six James Beard Foundation awards. He offers guests a contemporary gourmet experience, with a great selection of authentic Mexican dishes.
Situated along the waterfront, you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake from the outdoor patio area. Inside you will find three dining areas to choose from, the main area being light and airy, the central bar is darker and more atmospheric and finally at the rear the dining area has a slightly rustic feel, with large windows allowing views of the lake and access to the outdoor patio.
The well priced menu offers a whole range of Starters, Salads, Tacos and Tortas, Entrees, Sides and Desserts. You could begin with Tortilla Soup, various Guacamole's or a Taqueira Salad or for a good value meal try the Pepito Torta, made with braised short ribs or the Carne Asada Tacos made with grilled steak. For a more up-market meal then there's the Crispy Half Chicken, Salsa Verde Shrimp Enchiladas Suizas, Shrimp Mojo de Ajo or Carnitas of warm corn tortilla's filled with either slow-cooked pork shoulder or braised chipotle chicken. Finish off with a Coconut-Lime Quattro Leches, a sponge cake soaked with four milks and topped with fresh blackberries and lime zest!
Served from the walk-up window are Guacamole and Chips and Beef Barbaacoa Tacos or Cochinita Pibil Tacos, along with Margaritas, Beer and cold beverages.
