Universal Studios Theme Park
Since June 1990 Universal has been wowing it's guests with 'in your face' entertainment and special effects.
At this real working motion picture studio, an amazing array of rides, shows, movie sets and attractions put you in your favorite scenes from your favorite movies. It's the only place on earth where you can Ride the Movies.
July 2014 brings the ultimate in Park Attractions featuring the famous Diagon Alley. Following on from the huge success of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure, Universal have constructed this multi-park concept that links both Wizarding World's to each other, allowing guests to experience both via the Hogwarts Express train!
Attendance figure 2020 = 3,908,000 : 2019 = 10,922,000
How Much Time:
You will need a full day here, there is so much to see and do that you will be occupied non stop from park open to park close. In the high season when the lines are longer you probably won't be able to fit it all in in one day.
Universal Studios is located on Universal Boulevard which is at the top end of International Drive close to 'Wet n Wild' and has direct access from the I4.
Traveling from the Walt Disney World Resort area:
Exit I-4 at Exit 74B Universal Blvd. Take a left onto Universal Blvd. and follow the signs to Universal Orlando.
Universal parking is in a multi storey state of the art enclosed garage complex with moving sidewalks, escalators and elevators.
Once you have parked your car, just follow the signs and moving sidewalks, eventually you'll reach ground level and the hustle and bustle of the area comes to life. Walk about 400 yards and you can go left to 'Islands of Adventure' or right to 'Universal Studios'
Take the right and you'll see the Massive universal entrance someway ahead of you. As you head towards the entrance you'll pass shops and restaurants on your right with a lagoon on the left. Eventually you'll cross the Universal bridge and see the famous Universal Studios rotating Globe. Get your cameras out and snap a picture, I think almost everyone that has ever been here will have a picture of this.
Past the globe the large Universal entrance arch await you, through the arch and you are at the turnstyles.
For a nominal fee Preferred Parking allows you to get closer to the park in the parking deck. Closer me on the same level with the moving side walks, not up stairs or down stairs. Just ask the attendant when you pay for your parking.
Banking and Currency Exchange
The Studio has three on-site automated teller machines (ATMs). They are located at the Studio entrance to the right of the Guest Services window, near the Vacation Services area and in the Amity area near the Jaws ride. The First Union National Bank also offers traveler's check cashing, cash advances from credit cards and currency exchanges. The Studio is open every day at 9 a.m. Closing hours are seasonal. Changes in hours are posted at the ticket windows and in the local newspaper whenever possible.
For assistance with special dietary requirements, menus, dining suggestions or any other food and beverage information, please ask at the Guest Services Office, conveniently located inside the main entrance and to the right of the turnstiles.
Please refer to our Dining Section for dining locations, menus and pricing,or contact the Food Services Department at (407) 363-8340.
Child & Baby Swap
Child and baby swap areas are available at each ride so parents may take turns watching their child while the other rides. This makes it possible for every guest to enjoy our rides. For further information or instructions, please ask a ride attendant.
Nursing facilities and a companion restroom are available at Family Services, located to the left of the First Union National Bank. Diaper-changing facilities are available at all restrooms.
Guests can rent strollers, wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles near the Studio exit. Manual wheelchairs are also available.
