Learner driving

Hi all, DD is learning to drive.
Today she failed her test and is devastated
Does anyone know if there are any of those centres still around ?
I seem to remember years ago that you could go on a week long driving course of lessons and then take your test at the end ?
Her lessons are costing a small fortune and her current instructor seems to me to be just interested in money.

kind regards... Ted

Oh the poor thing! Please tell her not to give up!
My Mum finally passed on her 7th test! She could drive perfectly well but went to pieces when it came to the actual test!
In the end the Doctor gave her some pills for her nerves!
She will get there in the end!

When I turned 17 my parents thought it would be a good idea to put me on an intensive course. I hated it. Basically there is no flexibility at all - I knew I wasn't prepared for the test when I sat it but there wasn't anything I could do. I know BSM did it (in Edinburgh anyway) but not sure if they do now since it was about 4 years ago I got my license.

It took me 5 tries to pass and failing first time is incredibly common so tell your DW not to fret, she'll get there in the end! I know what you mean about the price of lessons though, I passed in 2004 and they've shot up since then.
