Walker Mobility or Care Medical

On our next visit we are taking my parents to the see the mouse for their first time.

My mother has MS and needs the use of a scooter if travelling over long walking distances.

I have seen mentions of Walker and Care on the boards.

I am interested on these hire companies as it will be a better option to have a scooter with us at all times not just the parks.

What is the battery life of these scooters from personal experiences ?

Just looking for general opinions really

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I don't know about the scooters as we have only rented manual wheelchairs, but I would just like to say that we have used both companies and they were fine. Both will deliver to your accommodation and collect at the end. We arranged hire in advance from the UK and gave our CC details and we were not charged until the hire commenced. All in all a pretty good service.

Hi

Cant really comment on Scooters - but we hired a wheelchair from Walker Mobility two years ago and their service was excellent - very friendly staff and the chair was where they said it would be when we arrived.

I hired a scooter from Walker a couple of years ago and it was great service. It was there waiting for me at the hotel in the left luggage room, and then we just left it there for them on our last day - no hassle at all. The battery lasted me all day round the parks, you just plug it in at night and it is ready to go again next morning. I would definitely recommend this company, and you are doing the right thing having the scooter 24/7 it makes everything much easier. Hope you have a great trip.

I am looking to hire a manual wheelchair for DD, did your chairs fold up easily to fit in the boot of your hire car? We have booked a full-size car from Alamo.
