Highs and Lows

I'm a bit more with it now, though I could have done without my entire kitchen being in the lounge when I got home and no washing machine plumbed in and the workmen arriving at 8am!
Anyway, our trip was fantastic, we had a lovely break and the weather was just excellent, really really hot and no rain.
I did start a Trip report, but never got round to finishing my notes, but I hope to do some kind of trip report. Here are the highs and lows.

HIGHS:
weather...lowest temperature was mid 90's
Disneyland and California Adventure...crowds not too bad, only on 4th July
4th July fireworks...totally amazing...very red, white and blue and very patriotic with the music etc.
Shopping... did loads of it, buying trainers, timberland boots, rockport shoes, skechers shoes(both for work), levis, timberland hoodie and abercrombie and fitch hoodie, shorts, t-shirts and loads more.
Sunglasses and clothes for Ella
Vegas...brilliant, but very hot
Kipling Bag from the Beverly Centre and also 2 extra monkeys
Emily's 18th birthday present from Tiffanys
Had a tattoo done at Venice Beach
Emily got an I-Pod that plays videos and stores more music than you can ever listen too for under £200 (including a case)

LOWS:
Limo kept us waiting an hour at the airport so said we didn't need him for the trip back
My friend was ill (she's 63 and the heat was getting to her as she lives near Palm Springs) so not able to drive us to the Grand Canyon so we had to go by bus to Vegas and miss the GC.
Airport closing and flight being delayed by an hour and a half, we were lucky, some people were sat on their planes for nearly 2 hours!

Not many lows and many more highs than that, just can't remember them all now.
Big thanks to Happy Traveller and her 3 children for making it a great holiday, we really enjoyed the company.
Love Rio

Sounds like plenty of highs and not too many lows Looking forward to the trippie and maybe some pics.
Hope your kitchen is sorted soon, that must be a pain when you are just back home.

Lots of highs...what tattoo did you get then

Ipod videos are great, DD has had one and she has a few films on there, plus loads of music and plenty of space for more.

Might be a while before I get a trip report sorted as I still have half the kitchen in my lounge. I'm putting it back slowly, but I found out today that if I want it decorating, I need to strip all the wallpaper off as they only paint. The tilers coming on Tuesday then the new floor and then the painters will come in so I'm spending a lot of time getting sorted.
Still, it's something to do when me and Emily are awake at 2am...lol.
