Just back!

hi everyone
Am just back from a VERY sunny week in Haven's Golden Sands in Mablethorpe. what a fantastic week we had! there were 7 adults and 11 kids(ages 3-16)... I was a wee bit apprehensive about so many going at first but it wasexcellent and probably the least stressful holiday the kids and I have had. The kids were all happy to have ready made company and if they fell out then there was always someone else to go talk to!
Haven holidays are excellent for the kids(imho ) as they have so much to do for them on site and they are usually situated near seaside resorts which means not too much travel if you want to go off site

Nice to be back and hoping sun stays out til I get all my washing done tomorrow

Sounds like you had a great time Sharon, wouldn't it be great if we could

We had many a happy holiday at Haven Blue Dolphin between Scarborough and Filey - the kids always loved it, as did we. Until we found Florida!

You picked a cracking week Sharon, glad it was a fun and relaxing holiday for you. We had a week away with my brother & family in a caravan at a Haven site a couple of years ago and with smashing weather it was also a superb break exceeding all expectations.
The only downside is the laundry when you get back!

Was it expensive when you were there. I know you have to get a entertainment pass which includes the swimming pool, but are all the other activities expensive.

Hi Lauden
Passes were included in the booking and gave entry to club, swimming. Boys loved the buzz carts (£6 for half hour) bouncy castle and trampolines were £1, the shop on site was very reasonable and prices were similar to anywhere else; to be honest we didnt find it that expensive but as the weather was good most of the entertainment was free... everythings dearer when it rains *lol* We tended to have bbqs, sit at caravan til about 9.30 then go to the club - kids got the big yards of juice first night and we just refilled them with our own juice before going out.
Have been to haven many times (also in France) and have always found it good value for money

Hi Sharon
Glad you had a great time!
We used to love Craig Tara at Ayr, til i "found" Disney! Always plenty for the kids to do and very reasonable if you book on the website.
