I'm going to Disney i'm going to Disney!

So long story short: Me and my boyfriend Steve were meant to go to New York next year but from pricing it up a week to 10 days there will cost more than 2 weeks in Orlando (not including park tickets of course but I figure we'd spend money on excursions in NY) and we were wondering if we'd really want to spend that long in a city (I'd be 23 when we went so not old enough to hire a car without a hefty supplement if at all) soo we've decided to go to Orlando instead and leave New York for at least a couple of years, possibly combining it with a general 'east coast adventure' which I think we'd enjoy more.
I'm excited that I actually have something to plan for even if we don't have the exact dates yet (waiting til I can book the flights first ;-) We're hoping for one week onsite and one week elsewhere (possibly near Universal, not decided yet) Would like to do 3 weeks but Steve may not be able to have that long off at once.
Yayy!

That's brilliant news!
Let the planning begin! Have you thought about maybe spending a night or two at one of the Universal resort hotels to get front of line priviliges?

congrats lizzybear, I'm sure you'll have a wonderfull time I've seen a few ppl say that they either fly via new york andc stop of for a cpl of nights, or once they are in Florida flyign to NY for a cpl night. Maybe this would be a good idea for you if it isn't too expensive.

Yep we'll definitely be considering it, just gotta price it up! Otherwise we'll hopefully purchase FOTL passes since they've scrapped the ExpressPass system.

I thought about that but we don't really want to lose Orlando time with more travel days and probably won't be able to stay in total for longer than 2 weeks (possibly a day or 2 over)
