Food at DLP
With six weeks to go until my trip... I've started thinking about the impotant things ... FOOD!
I've been to DLP before but always stick to the same old trid and tested outlets... Casey's Corner, Annette's Diner etc... Have not been to WDS yet, so this will be the first trip to that park! So which Restaurants do you recommend? And Why? Thanks Guys Mickeyetta |

We like Annettes Diner (good portions and kids meals) and Planet Hollywood.

I liked Walts on Main Street - they have a character breakfast (which we didn't do,but I would do next time), or at lunchtime they either have an alacarte menu which is pricey, or a cheaper set menu, we had the cheaper menu and it was very nice, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely too.
I want to try the restaurant that overlooks the Pirates Ride, but we did get around to it last time. We had a nice pastry/hot chocolate in a cafe halfway up Main Street, and we had lunch in Restaurant Hakuna Matata which is a counter service place. Not so nice meals - The Toy Story restaurant - yes we saw Woody and the girl (what is her name...) but the place was chaos, and the food was awful, I wouldn't bother again. Lucky Nugget Saloon Tea Party - I think this may have moved but we went for a character tea, you got cakes and drinks and the characters where there, but it was poorly organised and we didn't get to see many of the characters, It wasn't terrible but it could have been better. Innoventions in Disneyland Hotel - this is a character dinner, and I thought it would be great for Katie's birthday tea, but it was a bit of a disaster. To start with, they didn't have our reservation or details of the birthday cake I had ordered, they did find us a table, but no joy on the cake. then the food was very fancy, it was a buffet and mostly seafood, there wasn't much that I would eat other than on the kids bit. All in all, I was pretty disappointed. Plus all the palavor with the cake meant that we missed the Main St Electrical Parade as well. We went back to the Cheyenne Hotel restaurant later that evening, and they had a cake for Katie there, and I have to say they where superb - all the staff came round banging on pots and pans and singing Happy Birthday and really made a big fuss of her, I was really impressed with the staff at the Cheyenne.
