Universal Express
Theme park rides and attractions without having to wait in line!
UNIVERSAL EXPRESS - bypass the regular lines and enjoy Universal Express ride access* to the attractions at both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks. There's no additional charge! Once inside the park, you can obtain an Express Pass with your choice of reserved times to gain access to an attraction's special UNIVERSAL EXPRESS entrance. You may receive an additional Express Pass to another attraction when: a) You have used your existing Express Pass; b) The 1 hour time slot to experience the attraction has expired; or c) 2 hours have passed since you first obtained your existing Express Pass. For maximum benefit, stay at either of the Universal Orlando Resort Hotels- Portofino Bay Hotel, A Loews Hotel or the new Hard Rock Hotel - and enjoy UNIVERSAL EXPRESS. Just present your hotel room key card at each attraction's Universal Express entrance--no Express Pass or ride reservations are necessary. There's no better way to get the most out of your day! *Anticipated maximum wait 15 minutes. Paid theme park admission required. Some attractions excluded. Not valid for separately ticketed special events. Express Passes subject to availability. Additional restrictions may apply.

I was just looking through some old WDW/USF things last night when I came across some of these Express passes.
If I remember correctly we got them with our 3 day Universal Pass. If you want a picture of one for the site Stu I will gladly submit one

Thanks Neil,
The Express system has totally changed since the passes that came with the 3 day tickets. We had some that came with the Flex tickets too. It might be worth scanning some of the old tickets and putting them up on a web page, if people are interested. The new system is much like Disney's FastPass system. You just put your normal ticket into the machines located near the attractions, you are asked to choose a time to return (you usually get two choices of return time). If you stay at one of the Universal Hotels then you just show your Room Key Card and you are allowed to use the express line, without having to get an express ticket. Another advantage of the Express tickets is that you can also get Express for the Shows too, these give you preffered seating. Express holders are let into the show theater 5 mins before the regular guests, allowing you full choice of seats.
