Animal Kingdom Cutback
Hi,
Do you remember a couple of years back, when you watched the Pre-Show at Rock-n-Rollercoaster there was a live person in the Studio that used to grab the Guitar and pretend to be clearing away the set. This was one of the cutbacks that Disney first introduced, during that period of drastic cuts. Well AK is in for a small cutback too. When you do the Safari there is a Warden that you see after the poachers have been captured. He waves to each and every truck load of guests to say “Little Red is OK!” well looks like he's going too. He probably wont be missed by people who have never seen him, but I think it is little touches like this that made all the difference. The RnR pre-show always seems to be missing that added bit of realism now! Although I can understand that this is an easy cutback to make that doesn't affect guests too much. Also Screamscape has been told that a new Baby Elephant has been born backstage. If all goes well and the baby is healthy you may get to see the baby “on show” in a few weeks, if your there, that is!.

I know what you mean, but to be honest I always felt the the safari didn't need the storyline at all, and would stand better just as a trip to see the animals, but I know some people like it.
I have to say, it must be a soul destroying job, just standing there all day saying 'little red's ok folks' over and over again. bev |

We thought the storyline was unnecessary too; it adds nothing to the safari which is all about looking a the animals not chasing poachers.

I must admit every time we did the safari we spared a thought for the poor cast member who had to stand there for hours saying the same line
I agree I won't miss it but I think it may have made the ride more memorable for children |
