Two Questions about Animal Kingdom
Please could someone lety me know, if the animals in Pocahontis and her Forest Friends are real?
Also it states in the Unofficial Guide - to `look out for cast members in safari garb holding a bird, reptile or small mammal. Please could anyone who has visited advise what the reptiles might be and where they may be found. The reason I am asking this rather strange question is because I have a phobia about snakes, and I would hate to think I could be wallking along and there is one next to me...if that happened don`t think I would need the plane home, I would make it swimming. So any info no matter how slight you think it might be, would really help. Thank you. Helen |

yes the animals in hoccitypunctus are real but they are of the small fluffy variety and the are on stage,i didnt see anyone leap out in front of people jabbing them with snakes, and i think disney would probably have cms with reptiles at special meeting points properley staffed for the welfare of the animals.

I cant remember seeing any snakes. I have a big fear of SPIDERS and remember seeing them at the entrance of AK in glass boxes

No snakes in Pocahontas that I can recall and I'm sure I would recall as I'm petrified of them!
There's a racoon that I remember but none of the other small animals made any big impression I'm afraid! There were some 'pretend' animals and also the tree talked! I have to say I wouldn't go back to the show, plus, it is incredibly hot there if the sun is out - there is only shelter over the centre part of the seating area which is where they sit the children. The best thing about the show for me was watching the signtalker for the deaf at the front - she was amazing and so animated!

we have seen it about 10 times (Katie's absolute favorite show - go figure, when Lion King is next door).
There are no snakes in it - just a few small furry things that stay on the stage. Bev |

Just remembered we saw a beautiful big snake - python I think- at Rafikis Planet Watch - there was a CM explaining all about them.
It was very easy to avoid though if you didn't want to see it. I would suggest asking a CM before you go inside the building.

Thanks for all the adivce, we had decided that we would give Rafikis Planet Watch a miss as we had thought it may be too much of a coincidence and I don`t like to tempt fate, but, if I saw one at the main entrance ( and I`d only need a glimpse from the corner of my eye ) I`m sure I`d have a coronary. We are talking about major fear!
I just don`t like the thought of having to look over my shoulder all the time, even though any around will be quite innocent. But don`t want not to go to AK as we want to go on the safari, see the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks and the diosaur area. I`ll have a very large G & T and be brave. |
