bsl translator at discovery cove

I'm really hoping someone will know how to arrange this! My son, who is profoundly deaf and communicates using bsl as his first language, is swimming, along with his little sister,with the dolphins in august this year.I'm sure I read somewhere before that it may be possible to book a communicator for his dolphin swim. Once he takes his cochlear speech processor off he struggles to lipread that well and because I won't be with him, I wouldn't want him to yet again feel left out! he has swam before with dolphins, but I was with him that time, so was able to help.Any ideas who to contact to arrange this if poss?I looked on the discovery cove website and can only see a freephone no. for reservations.Does anyone know an e-mail address or other guest services helpline no?

Last year I booked Discovery Cove for 3 of us to swim with dolphin. We all three are deaf. When we arrived Florida and my mother in law and son changed their mind that they want to come with us as I told them that it was booking 8 months advanced. When we went up to discovery cove to booking it, unfortunately it was full booked and the staff said to me that you have not booking an interpreter so they booked it for us. When we arrived and it was lady (i forgot her name) who was an interpreter, she was signed BSL as she was living in Newcastle in Uk before moved to Florida. It was great to have her.

I think you maybe looking at discovery website and looking for contact them or email to them and asking for booking an interpreter.

I have leaflet somewhere and when I find it and I will let you know asap okay.

hope you manage to sort this, another reason why I love america, no disability is a problem!.
The only thing we found was last time we asked for a BSL interpreteur we got an ASL one! , they thought that it was the same
