Using the DDE card for Fantasmic dinner package

I know the DDE card is normally valid in Hollywood & Vine.
However, if you book the Fantasmic dinner package there do you still get the dizzy off at the end of the meal?

We did last year at Hollywood and Vine. I think it depends on your server.

I asked when we made our ADR and was told that as it is a special package DDE isn't valid. We decided to ask our server too just in case and he went off to consult a manager and came back and said we could either have the discount or the reserved seating but not both

From what I can remember I didn't actually ask, our server gave us the tickets to get into the reserved seating area of Fantasmic. Before we got our bill I gave the server our DDE card and no questions asked. We were very lucky I guess.

Returning to this subject...

...I made our ADRs the other night for the Fantasmic package & asked the CM about this. She said that there was nothing to say that the DDE was not valid.
I must say though, it would be a shame if it wasn't - partcularly since the Fantasmic price is the same as a normal meal price, isn't it?

Just to be safe I may do as Caron did - wait til we've got our passes and slip it in the server's hand later!
