can anyone tell me more about mickys backyard bar b q(think thats what its called)and do you have to be a disney resort guest

We've been twice, and really enjoyed it, although the last time was about six years ago. We've never stayed in a disney resort. You can book online though the disney website. Its great for the younger kids, as the charachters really interact. Not too many people there, and the food was as good as can be expected.

I would book it before you go its one of those disney events that sells quickly, I tried to book it both from the UK and when we arrived and it was fully booked for the length of our two week stay.

Although I have seen it advertised with Virgin as an excursion. depending on if you are travelling with a tour operator or not?

I would book before you go. I believe it is available to book a year in advance. I booked it at 180 days with the rest of my ADR's. It is only available on selected nights of the week. In Sept it is available on Thurs and Sat.
