yet another photo on DVD question !

hi everyone..
I have managed to get all my photos on a DVD+r yay !
BUT... even though I have rotated them all the correct way, some are still landscape that should be portrait... is there an easy way to turn them the correct way and copy them the correct way?
hope this makes sense
many thanks
Elaine

In my pictures with xp should do but be careful one of the sad things is that a slight amount of quality is lost everytime you do that.

I always write them straight to dvd first then rotate and edit them after that and then write finished images to another dvd, always pays to have them backed up somewhere at least twice :-((

I did save them in there original state (mainly because the chances of losing them is quite high as I dont know what Im doing)
But I wanted to view them on TV so rotated all the ones that needed to be rotated...but when I played the DVD all the ones I had rotated where back to their original format I don't know what to do with them now...
Is it enough to rotate them in the file they are being stored OR do you have to rotate them in a program like photoshop?
Any help would be brilliant
Many thanks
Elaine

You could just use the arrow keys on the dvd remote to change them whilst viewing!

FYI IrfanView has a lossless jpeg rotation pluggin. But most photo programs import then re-compress which degrades the image. I think some camera software gets around this by tagging the image as to whether it needs to be rotated when it is displayed. That doesn't degrade the image of course but neither has it really rotated it.
