Viva Las Vegas, Spice and Cowboys Day 4

Viva Las Vegas, Spice and Cowboys - Day 4

Me Dissuziq – Age old enough to know better, WDW nut, works hard, plays hard and addicted to organising.

Brother Dave – Age younger than me doesn’t let me forget it! , Chief Dibb Mickey taker but loves WDW.

Wednesday 12th December

Our last full day in LV, BD having indulged the last few days was having a lie in, but I was on a mission for cheap show tickets, so 9.30am I was on my way to the tickets 4tonite booth, having bypassed the time share sellers offering the tickets, for “listening to a short presentation” ! I got to the booth at 9.45 together with a couple more, but nothing much seemed to be going on, only to find that today they are not selling the tickets till 11am, So do I stay or go, having chatted to an American lady also waiting, we decided to stay and queue, so me and my new friend Jennie were queuing for show tickets, she really did make me laugh as she was queuing but had not chosen a show she wanted.

11am came and I managed t get Tickets for Mama Mia, the tickets cost $82 dollars for 2, bargain and worth the queue and making a new friend. That night Jennie had decided to come to the same show and we were sat next to each other, had a great night.

However tickets bought and back to the hotel to see if Brother Dave was back in the land of the living, he was hungry, so quick breakfast at Starbucks and then off to Wal-Mart as we had offered to bring back a PS3 80gb for a friend who could not get a 60gb in the UK.

The concierge at the hotel offered to get the driver to take us to the nearest Wal-Mart, we found that the driver was an Ex London cabbie who had lived in Vegas for 15 years but still had the accent, lovely guy, who gave us his card if we had a problem getting a cab back.

Shopping complete, with sugar free cake, (BD is a Diabetic and needed a cake fix and Wall-mart does the best cakes?) a couple of DVD’s and an extra controller for PS3 after a quick UK phone call we were all shopped out. The taxis were sparse to get back but an Aussie was also waiting and offered to share his cab as we were both going back to the strip.

Play station and cakes dropped off and we then went to Caesars Palace shops for my UGGS and lunch. Lunch at Planet Hollywood, and did a couple of shops , Abercrombie and Fitch and a nosey along the designer Dior and Burberry a taxi back to the Mandalay bay .

taken from the Airport of the hotels

As Mama Mia was in the Mandalay Bay we went for dinner at the House of Blues, very nice, JD chicken for me Pork and mash for BD. Soon in the show waiting for the start a chat with Jennie and met her husband from Maryland who was in Vegas for a conference but Jennie was spending her days gambling and shopping girl after my own heart on the shopping front.

The only piece of Christmas in the Hotel lobby

The show was great and a good last night in Vegas, we then spent our last small notes on the slot machines but only lost no big wins but the casinos are not built on winners.

Sounds like a good day despite the ticket place opening late. Jennie sounds like good company

We loved seeing Mamma Mia at the Mandalay Bay. Might just do it again if we can get cheap tickets

Just looking at the Luxor photo, can't make out what it says but I'm sure it didn't have anything on the front when we were there in August?

Its only an advert for Absolut Vodka it was plastered over the side of the hotel, but it cost Absolut a fortune as it could be seen for miles over one of the biggest landmarks on the strip
