The Heggies Hawaiian Adventure-Day Thirteen

Day Thirteen

We arrived in Seattle at 6am, got a train to baggage claim, our cases were off really quick. Outside baggage claim we found the Downtown Airporter shuttle bus. It cost $14 each & we were at our hotel for 7am.

We are staying at the Days Inn on 7th Avenue for the next two nights.

When we went to check we were told that the hotel is fully booked and to come back at 12 as check out isn’t till 11am. Usually at this time of year it would have been ok to get in the room early but there’s a big football game on today. The Seattle Seahawks V The Greenbay Packers so hotels are full all around. We were both tired & it’s a bit cold here but there’s nothing we can do.

We walked to a nearby Starbucks, we had a tea each. I had a Cinnamon Roll & DH had a Sausage & Egg Roll.

Next we walked to The Space Needle, it opened at 9am. It was $16 each to go up. We went up in the glass elevators. The views were really good from here. We could see Mount Rainier.








We stayed at The Space Needle for an hour then we walked along 3rd & 4th Avenue. Macys was open so we had a look in here, DH wanted to look for jeans.

By now it was after 12 so we walked back to our hotel praying that a room would be ready, we were both shattered now. Great result, the room was ready & wed been upgraded to a Junior Suite. I’ve never been so glad to get a sleep. We both slept from 1pm-6pm & felt much better after a good sleep.

We got ready & went out for dinner. We walked around 6th Avenue & found a restaurant at the bottom of the Sheraton Hotel called The Daily Grill.

I had a Cobb Club Sandwich




DH had Blackberry Pork Chops.




We both had a coke & it cost $45.


After dinner we went to the cinema across the road & saw a film called The Righteous Kill, it was really good.

After the cinema we popped in to The Cheesecake Factory for a slice to eat in the room. We got 30th Anniversary Cheesecake, it was lovely.

Shame you couldn't have got your room sooner but result with the upgrade.

Good grief, that was one long day! Glad you managed some sleep. The views from the top of the space needle were lovely.
