Our (1st! ) Holiday of a Lifetime to Disney! Pre Trippie!

Hi everyone

I've debated whether or not to do a PTR but cos I've enjoyed reading so many others, thought I'd give it a go. Plus i'm addicted to the DIBB! (Am supposed to be watchng NCIS with DH right now but never mind...! )

The Cast

Me - Colette (29) meticulous planner and obsessed with getting everything just right!

DH - Chris (31) - technically not my husband but been togther that long, it feels like it (am still hoping he might ask one day... ! )

DS Brandon (7) - is excited abut going but suspect thats more because we are so excited he feels like he has to be!

DD Jessica (3) Is too young to completely 'get it' highlighted by the fact that she has invited most of the girls that look after her in nursery to come with us, but am sure she'll love it when we are there..!

Am not so good with attaching photos as I'm new but have attempted to attach some of us with the kids!

Right... It's our first ever trip, and I can honestly say, it's not something that has ever appealed to me before BUT, now I am so obsessed and so excited, I don't know what I did pre-disney!

We are going on 17 June for 2 weeks staying at Hampton inn pointe orlando. We decided on I drive cos DH absolutely does not want to drive. (we are not good in the car together in England, never mind USA! ) Public Transport is much less stressful for us!

Before I discovered this FABULOUS site, I ordered an intinerary from the Brits guide to Orlando. As a first timer I wanted some sort of structure, without being tied down. You might think it takes the fun out of planning but it really doesn't! I've planned lots of extras like VIP tour of Seaworld - all I do is email and they will build it in to the itinerary. I'm planning on booking Chef Mickeys and California Grill as ADRs, the fact that I've paid for an itinereay doesn't stop me!

I'm even planning on doing a scrapbook for this holiday, originally was just meant to be for the kids but I'm doing one for me too!

I bought a new (tinkerbell) notebook the other day and before I even said anything my DH was laughing as he knew it was so I could make notes to do a trip report on here I did want a diary so I have a record of our hols but..yes...I do want to do a trip report too...! (he knows me sooo well! )

Well peeps, thats all for now, just wanted to introduce ourselves and say thanks for all the fab advice from this site!

I will add more as our holiday gets closer... can't wait...! xx

I completely understand Colette, I was practically forced onto the plane in 2006 and now I it!

This will be our 4th trip this year and it gets better everytime

Thanks for your PTR. I have up till now wondered if I should do a PTR but I think after reading yours I should sit down over half term and do mine.

Did it make your holiday feel more real doing a PTR?

It does make it feel more real, definately! I think it's nice to have a record of what your plans are too, even nicer that there are so many lovely people on here to help if it's needed! Will look forwrd to yours
